Thanks nutty, it’s a beautiful kit and goes together well.
I’m currently working on another one so watch this space!

Those Dorn look great!
I like the track suspension detail and it now makes me notice its absence on the chimera and leman russ models!

Cheers treadiculous! Yeah, you can even leave off the track guards if you want to see the full workings! I’ve been working on my T’au this week. This update is a Piranha! T’au Empire Piranha T’au Empire Piranha T’au Empire Piranha T’au Empire Piranha T’au Empire Piranha As you can see it’s not the neatest but I’m going to try and tidy up my painting with this project. I feel working on T’au vehicles, suits etc will be the biggest challenge for me but I think the auxiliaries will be in my comfort zone! Thanks for looking and please give some feedback.

It looks good, Piranha's are fun models. The straight lines and generally clean look of Tau Engineering is quite different from most other factions.
It's been a while since I worked on my Tau models, but I always 'cheated' the panel highlights by painting the seem between panels in a lighter colour with a slightly oversized brush that would catch the edges of the panels. And then coming back in with a smaller brush for the actual blacklining. That way I could get a thin highlight on both panels fairly quickly, rather than highlighting each panel individually.

Thanks nutty!
Great idea on the panel lining, I’ll definitely try that with the next one.
Do you think it needs a little weathering? Might help break up the lines?

You could try some weathering, although I do think Tau look good "clean"

is there a form of tape - such as electrical tape - that you could use to mask off the area outside the line?
this doesn't usually work as most models have too much detail and curve, though this model seems a possible match?
Great work as always, I like the clean look though experiment with weathering and see how you feel afterwards!

Thanks nutty and treadiculous!
I think I’m going to leave the weathering, like nutty said T’au do look cool clean.
After all I used heavy weathering on my Krieg so I’d like to take a different approach for my tau.
The tape idea from treadiculous is a good one I do have masking tape. I’ll try both next T’au model.
Next up though I’m working on some Seraphon to sell to raise funds for the Greater Good!

They look great, the musician's mount seems a bit smug about it though 😁

Those look really cool, I especially like the markings. I never used kroot with my Tau but I might get some of these to paint up.

I was listening to the audiobook “Fallen Angels” whilst painting my Kroot. So it inspired me to get some work done on my Dark Angels! Here’s the result: Ravenwing Sky Hunter Ravenwing Sky Hunter Ravenwing Sky Hunter Not sure what I’ll be doing next (either more Kroot or an Apothecary) so keep an eye on this thread!

Finally found time to work on the Kroot! This is a Flesh Shaper from the Kroot Hunting Pack. Another incredible sculpt from the new range. It seems the higher the rank of the Kroot, the more clothes they get! So much fun to build and paint because it has so many different textures to paint. Definitely one of my favourites from the range. Enough preamble here’s the pics: T’au Empire Kroot Flesh Shaper T’au Empire Kroot Flesh Shaper T’au Empire Kroot Flesh ShaperI think next up it’s time to work on the naked masses! About time I did some rank and file.
