haha cool, and i will get to posting my "before" pic very soon as the only other thing i need to assemble is a squad of 8, and when it arrives, my chaos lord, which i will post when it does arrive.

OK so this is all i have to paint at the moment, the tank is alreadt started and many of them are primmed and a few are brand new.  |

just waiting on before pics from stab, azalar, fabius & hengiest then we can officially begin (oh and by the way, I'm painting so if I get behind I'll have something to use as an ace in the hole - just so everyone knows painting after you've entered your before pic but before the contest has started is 'ok' as long as you use the models painted as 'catch up' entries and not to push ahead and bury your competition - scouts honor on this one. can't ask people to stop painting!).

/tosses name into the hat.. So Sad to say this but my Guard havent been touched since the paintoff '06 due to work.. but I have been busy on some major conversions.. Going to have to have a stab at this.. have a few hundred NGs to paint up for Fantasy plus a few Ogres here and there.. Will post up a pic when i get a chance.. will have to do it with my webcam since my Digital is on holidays with the mother in law.. Turtle.. any predictions on who has the stamina to last this time? Having tons of models is one thing but getting them all finished is another  Best of luck all... |

I just need some of the new Foundation Paints. And grisnik I have loads of Skaven, Guardsmen, Chaos Space Marines, Mortheim, and Necromunda minis. So it's not a matter of quantity it's more a matter of time (that's why I need Foundation Paints). And with my cunning plan you'll have a hard opponent with enough minis |

Take your time.. if we are lucky we can drag this one out quite a bit... would like to have the constant stream of competition going to keep me painting.. Can't find my webcam.. so no pics of anything until after the 15th of June it seems.. oh well.. no time to paint new models till then anyways.. Thankfully my order for 2 more boxes of NGs, 2 squig herder blisters, NG boss and NG Shamans are on their way, along with more GS, sculpting tools, and about 400 magnets with steel tape to begin making them all sit better on their movement trays.. not to mention the 200+ BFSP NGs and 25 Spider riders, fanatics, netters, 3 trolls, Giant and my chukkas and lobbas I have yet to make.. I have a ton to paint for my NG force.. and thats without converting my Ogre force and painting those bad boys up as a change of pace to the ordinary Knight I am glad you have a lot.. I hope to see us both finish off vast quantities of models and at a decent table top quality level as well... Cheers Gris |

Grisnik what about kicking the others out early and let's decide that between us. Just we two and no one else.  Can you finish 100 after ten days? Should be enough to kick out most others Oh and Tboy congrats from me as well and I can be quite a hardcore painter. I just need the right motivation (which is much easier now, thanks to the new Foundation Colours). |

the first thought of a 'before pic cutoff date' has entered my mind, so if you're serious about competing then get that pic posted as you're able to. (lack of camera notes acknowledged)

Knight.. i dont want to make this one go fast.. cause I want to have some quality in my models unlike last time Plus I wont actually start painting on them until June 15th however.. But if your adamant about this Knight.. prepare for death by paintbrush... though this time around I have more responsibilities in my job.. and a new TV... Bring it on... Turtleboy.. whats the restrictions for numbers that we can drop down before we can state a challenge? limit at 20? 30? or we letting Knight going to be able to drop 100 and call a challenge? I would love to see this stretch out for a month or 2 before the competition gets tight.. Cheers Gris |

We can settle this slow as well and I'm not making low quality minis It's just that you can finish Skaven really fast just with drybrushing 3 different browns (at least in my colour scheme), painting the armor and weapon, and finishing the details, and base. Takes about minutes per Skaven, and Giant Rats are painted even faster. The Word Bearers are no problem with Mecharite Red. One layer Mecharite Red and inking with Magenta Ink, painting the trims of the armour with a layer of Chainmail, painting the horns, and finishing the details. About 30mins per CSM... My problem are the Guardsmen, the Mortheim and Necromunda minis as they take really long with all the converting and stuff to do... |

I hear that.. though it is taking roughly 5-10 minutes per NG rank and file model.. rushing.. :S So far I have spent over 20 hours on just painting and over 15 hrs worth of sculpting for my Ogre Tyrant.. I will post pics once it is finished here.. its truely a beast of a model and paintjob though.. Will be interesing to see what happens though mate.. since the only real painting other than the odd character or special unit I have done is to basecoat 20 goblins.. I havent finished most of my NGs that I started last round... I really need this competition to last So it will motivate me to get as much painted as I can.. Cheers Gris |
