eh, I finally read the entire thread, very impressive, the lasgun/bolter conversion look to me more like what imperial guard combat shotguns should look like, *holds model in hand, looking at simple blue/grey and red scheme, puts it down keeps on typing* once I've gotten up to 1.5 thousand points, i'm probably going to (sheesh i keep hitting the wrong keys) buy a box of Cadian shock troops, a heavy weapon box, and a scout marine box, and just mess around with them, still, You have done an Outstanding job at your army, I am quite keen on seeing some more, nice NVG production, Bye!

Good Lord! Truly spectacular!!!!
Ahem. How did you create the first officer's sword pose?

I think the sword is a rather simple conversion. Just the sword of the Cadian officer cut down directly behind the power unit and the other half of the arm is a simple Cadian Lasrifle arm, just with cut down stock and and cut down at the elbow.

Yep, that's exactly how it's been done. I like to keep it simple!
Thanks for your kind comments!

Again keeping it simple: Tanned Flesh, Dwarf Flesh, and Elf Flesh as highlight.

Cessate being foolish. It is precisely because it is half and inch(2) that it is simple. Remember this: you can have it fast, good or cheap, but not all three. or even two.

true, but imperial guard isn't about quality, it's about being many. ( I forgot the word) I prefer keeping it simple. I rather have a little of all three than just one of them and spending lots of time on just one model, I paint 20 guardsmen in three hours, models i brought from a friend for half thee price and colors that belonged to the club i play in. They became allright, for guardsmen. as I said. A little of all three.
and thats why I think your models are amazing.

finally took time to read the entire thread. nvg while a great model aspect are unfluffy. especially for an entire guard regiment. many companies would not be able to afford it or care.
that and anything bright going off would blind the entire army for a good 10 minutes.
other wise great color schemes and pics. gotta love the wide range of bitz you use. thats right i saw the catachan head.
also i love the officer you made. it looks like you probably got his cape from the maradur bitz. the chaos knights have a cape but thats better fitted on your space marines. so yeah im guessing maradurs on that one.

Your guys remind me so much of the soldoers from the film "Childeren of men" with Clive Owen. Anywho, you're models are amazing.
