Hi Guys, thanks for all your nice comments. Didn't paint a lot of 40k recently, but I 'upgraded' the rather boring looking bases with some rubble. I like my urban unit a lot and should do some more at some stage.. At the moment I'm doing Romans for WAB: Keep posting! Cheers CC

Wat They're all awesome. One small comment - they're perfect except for where the added 'bar' across the lasgun has been added on - the join could do with being smoothed out a bit... But barley noticeable. I'm just waiting on paints then i'm going to have a go at this urban scheme!!! Specifically what i'm talking about:

This is certainly one of the threads which I loved so much but did't comment on because of threadomancy. Well now you know it (for how much that's worth ). I think the edges shouldn't be smoothed out, I always were from opinion the lasgun was to square. If you compare it to normal IRL guns they'l look very fake. I like these better.

Yeah, the only thing that lets these down is the bases, otherwise they rock. They were a big deciding factor when I went urban camo, although i didn't want to nick the idea completely.
And the Romans, well, I always thought that re-enacting historical battles was a bit..... gay. I think after seeing that pic Ive changed my mind somewhat, they look f**kin' awesome!

Strange question, i know, but how did you remove the aquilas from the helmets?
I tried filing them off, and the front of the helmet ends up looking a bit... 'lumpy'....

ReWolf: I use a scalpel. Carefully. 3ff3ct: concerning the Romans- I changed my opinion after watching the 'Gladiator' battle sequence. And then Warlord Games released plastic 28mm Legionaries... F3L1X: I quite like the standard Cadian (8th) as much as the urban one. Can't decide what to paint sometimes. Cheers CC

I find scalpelling off details good too, i dont trust myself with a file unless its a bit that needs to be flat

I love the camouflage scheme - kind of like an urban version of the desert camo that used to be used by the U.S military - very, very good! And, they blend in very nicely to your table!
