one Cadian battleforce + one box of warhammer fantasy Zombies + Necromunda Redemptionist gang = Traitor Guard!
this will be my new modelling project and my most ambitious yet! the scheme I'm planning will be black with blood red armor with a mix match of guardsmen and zombie parts with the zombie legs going to a platoon of zombie conscripts and the guardsmen legs going to the slightly fresher regular troops.
any tips or suggestions?
I'll be posting my progress here as it happens
I'll probably be placing the order tomorrow

Expect to see the first few pictures on monday or tuesday, I can hardly wait. They are going to get some chaos assault weapons, two squads with plasma guns, conscripts with flamers and some melta guns hanging around the officers. For heavy weapons I'm thinking lascannons and the russ will be armed with three heavy bolters, perhaps I'll give it a snub nose battlecannon and call it a demolisher, though if I do that I may wish to trick it out further with plasma cannons...
anyway, this is going to be a small themed force, once loyal IG, fresh casualties risen up in the name of the dark gods, I'm thinking instead of filing away the imperial insignia I would just take a knife to them and defile them up a little, it just feels more heretical that way.

here is a taste of what is to come, I plan to use this guy as a rogue psyker armed with a force weapon, my feelings about the weapon are mixed, seems like its missing something. been thinking about docturines, sure 5th ed is coming soon and my whole list will be changed pretty soon but I plan on getting plenty of use out of these guys before then. restricted troops -priests(EEEvil priests...) -psykers( also evil.) -conscript platoons skills and drills -light infantry(though they will resemble undead ghouls, they remain fighting fit with, this will represent their almost inhuman determination to close in on the enemy as they infiltrate and scrambe through rough terrain, giving them the option of take sniper rifles to terrorize and pin their opponents is appealing as well, I'm calling them Terror Guard after all.) special equipment -chem inhalers(to help represent their disreguard for losses) feedback encouraged.

=O WOW! Your conversion skills exceed you! I say. . . excellent. . .
That rogue psyker. . . i agree it does look like it's missing something. not sure what though . . . Maybe putting it on a bigger base with some background material will add to it?

looking at these pictures has got me thinking that my tank needs some more bits, maybe more clutter on the back of the turret.
alot of guys will get a bit of cleaning up before I start to paint them as well.

ymmot. Your genius excels in simplicity. You've been brilliantly creative hears, no half measures - these conversions are so straightforward, creative and brilliant.
Like most genius ideas, we're all standing on the sidelines thinking "Why didn't I think of that!"
Keep it up!

genius? yep, I'm pretty amazing.(heh, JK, no really, stop it, you'll make me blush.)
anyway, glad to see the sight of these little fellows is already rising the bile in the back of the throats of all you good imperial commanders, I myself feel my loyalties conflicted, heck I love the Emperor just as much as the next guy, its just really fun to play with the bad guys from time to time.
sadly I've run out of black primer so these guys are going to have to sit on a shelf for a week, speaking of black primer, would krylon flat black spray work? I've been using the gamesworkshop chaos black but if there is something else that works just as good I'm all ears, I hear you can get black primer from an auto parts store for pretty cheap, any suggestions?
thanks for all the comments gang,
just ordered me some of the older metal stormtroopers, going to give them the traitor treatment, so we have that to look forward to. I don't think it will take much to make those guys look to be touched by evil, a menacing paint job would probably be enough.

commissar, why do you put people down in "the bad book of the KGB" just because they have an idea that you'd never have thought of? *subtely scribbles down ymmot in the "big bad book of the SAS"* lol when i was working on my codex infected, i decided that i would do something like this, i was going to convert undead guardsmen, undead tau, undead eldar, you name it (really the only exceptions are necrons, SM's and CSM's). i might try and get that project going again, use that idea if you want.
