chainsaw, with long swordy-handle?
otherwise, I would guess get a chainsaw blade, and mold the sword out of steel etc, with a handle.
I have no idea other than that...

Chainsword for what??? Only posing....or fighting with it like show-fighting in reanactors do( without sliding chain)...or an real sized weapon with functions..??

Well, I feel obliged to vote for making the real thing, but if you're going to make a replica, don't have the chain mobile. Lots of potential for nasty accidents and the sword breaking....

RedsandRoyals : I agree, for myself I don´t like the chainsword, I think is an very non-military weapon....( remember , I´m not an table top player) Accidents too if you fights with an real done dummy weapon sucks in reason of the length/weight and the balance of the weapon..its an one handed weapon...Its difficult enought to get an cool handling with my steel made bolt pistol like the pose of the officiers minis( ".....FOOOORWARD!!!!,)designers are cool but not very realsitic. I have seen an latex chainsword sometimes ago....I think its usable for fightings..... PS.. 14 years of middle-age reanacting is enough...no more swords  greets Watts

My elysian pattern heavy bolter is on the right way...today I do the bipod...currently it weights 17kgs...if there is someone tell e stories about run happy over the battlefields with this type of weapon....I must correct him   Greets watts |

beautiful, all of it.
I dig the heavy bolter, best weapon I've seen on this threat yet, love the mean looking bolts and the ammo box, you'd definatly want some power armor if your going to lugging that thing around.

Carrying it a round would be fine, firing it on the move impossible. The heavy bolter is my favourite so far. What about a valkirie next?  |

well remember, they wouldn't be using steel, most probably Plasteel if I remember correctly. Which means it is most probably lighter  |

yeah but not even a space marine can fire one of those things on the move, not with standard bolts anyway.

You have to get me the link for the make-your-own-armour site.....maybe I can make Outcast armour..........hehehe*shifty eyes*
Also, for the tank......make a Chimera, with removable lasguns for the fireing ports.....and a Dummy gun on the lid, It should be light enough to go via normal roads....but not the light-tonnage-only roads.......good luck with that though, and make a plasma gun soon! ;D

Nearly ready to get boxed up and fall on an troopers head...there are some little things I must do tomorrow...the glasses, used look...but I´m very satisfied at this point.. ;D   and I adapted an little gimmick...an scull with an gravchute on the front of the weapon..  Greets Watts |

I think its similar...MG3, the modern style MG42 of the german federal army...

@srgt. master : Its not a barrel, you see it on the first pic...its one part of the three part´s of the aiming equipment.....but this is not finished because the (fake)lens is´nt ready. The trooper aiming with an scope on the left side---via cable connected with the upper back part, aiming through the carrying grip and the front section of the scope. If you want use it real, real aiming over the barrel, you should use an camera......I would´nt spent so much money for this project....( alle material is out of my store-room...  ) Greets Watts |

Woow man, I wish I had such stuff, you know what would be cool? ,if you could turn all weapons into airsoft! That wayyou would be able to fight a smal battle or something!

zumbaz: What we do is more in the meaning of reanactment...not wargaming....if I do the weapons with a function, I prefer blank firing( at the bolter). But in germany it is forbidden to use full-auto of something looks like a weapon....because of this I build only dummys...but there is no technical problem to cover an softair with an steel body...! Greets to the netherlands Sooooooooooooo...currently the weapon is ready to rumble....    Aaaaand...the first test firing.....no, little joke... I think there's a possibilty that they do paint some black guardsmen, fighting against a big mob of white scar spacemarines who will kill all the guardsmen in just one turn!
