Hello, I´m new at this place, coming from germany and I´m not a gamer..  I´m build an complete Kasrkin armour in steel and some other toys based in the cadian and imperial style. I´ll show some pics from the equipment.... The weapon is an combined weapon, hellfire lasgun with folding stock and an bolter fixed like an grenade launcher   the autocannon is an mixture, the older GW style in wheeled version, but the barrel and round mag is the current style.. How many Guard players there (or anywhere) can say they have a suit of Kasrkin armour? I might leave that bayonet in the autocannon picture at home though... How long did it take you to make the uniform? |

Thanks, oooohh...hehe...the first reason to built this equipment was take part on the gamesday 2006 in cologne/germany. We take part as an complete squad with an inquisitor, 1 officer, 1 sergeant an 11 guardsmen...we get the first price...  complete we change 450kgs of steel into armour and weapons... But now I do it because 1. I like to create this things... 2. I´m a little militant...... 3. I like the guard... but now its time for an other equipment..and I like the airborne troops...but the new stuff is´nt made off steel, I´ll use aramid/kevlar to laminate it, because of the weight( currently near 34 kg´s) my fisrt project is an elysian pattern heavy bolter with bipod, like the forge weapons. I start this two days ago. RedsandRoyals: Sorry, seeing your posting to late... We need nearly an half of an year to produce all items of the squad, but there was only an standard helmet and the most of the guardsmen have no leg and arm protection. since the beginning of 2007 I working for some details on my own equipment and do some bigger weapons...like an transportable shelter with turret armed with an assault cannon... greets watts

Do you know the 9.Scarovian rifles...nice airsoft group(with an WH40k background) based in GB. Have you seen the rhino (based on an british APC) made by THQ shown first time in Birmingham?? Some other toys in the arsenal of the Empire.... First my bolt pistol....cal. 20mm ;D  assault bolter as an secondary weapon on the shelters turret..Cal.20mm  heavy stubber- selfmade Cal.50 (looks like the M2) at the left side you can see the grenade launcher 40mm with the drum mag.  |

Hmmm...I think a complete army for playing tabletop is´nt cheaper than organizing the material for the personal equipment of one real soldier....but I agree , its a problem for somebody without tools like grinding machines and welding equipment... 8-)then it gets difficult.........

Thanks, I ll do my best for the emperor @hasagwan : At the time we start the project the officer(myself )use only an Boltpistol and Sabre/ 3handgrenades. The Inquisitor uses an inferno pistol and an psi-bar( I do´nt know, is this word correct?) But currently the officer use an not codex-like equipment..he use an commando-like equipment..primary weapon is the combined weapon Lasgun/bolter( 5Mags for the las/7mags for the bolter) secondary weapons are an Cal.45 Automatic pistol on the side, an submachine gun(like the sten) on the back of the armour as an reserve weapon, and a tanto combat knive at the right tight protection..............because its cool ;D F3L1X : Hmmm....the tank is an real problem....I had organized an british ferret scout car last year, but I have many technical problems...its more expensive than planned because I need a new engine and transmission.... Removed : I can´t do that, because in germany it is not allowed to use public streets with heavy tanks ;D sorry... starwoof: Thanks...... I bet all the 'civvies' outside Gamesday were like 'WTF?!!!' And the checkpoint.... that could be so much fun! ;D I just noticed that the guy with the grenade launcher in an earlier pic looks like he's about to have a laughing fit..... Exploding cultists maybe? |
