Theoretically if you are from the Region of Rheinland Pfalz or Hessen in Germany that would be the first good thing. Because the Lt. is stationed here in that Region and Meetings will be sometimes held at his Quarter to fit a new Armor to a new guy or showing us the newest of the Imperial Weapons and talking about the newest Mission...The most Missions take place also in that Regions so no big Travelling if you are from here...Then you need to bring the iron will of the Imperial Guard with you...standing sometimes more then 8 hours guarding duty and having your officers giving out orders isnt for everybody...only the strongest are taking on duty in the service of an Inquisitor...im one of the newer guys in the Squad but they are all like brothers and sisters to me...we are a big family...that all because some are coming from the medival edge (Templar and that stuff real cool...the Lt. was a Warsmith in his former life also building Balistas and a big watchtower *g*) and are already knowing each other from that time of the hobby...
So you need to know if you can take the time and engagement for a few weekends of imperial reenactment or preenactment in a year...and hanging out with the big boys...
Hmm if i count the Missions there are around 4-5 in one year (LT. you can correct me) with one very important every year...
If you also have the money to travel if you dont come from this regions here that would be also fine if you want to join...and you should need to know the guys who are behind this...so first a meet at one of the missions would be nice to have a few words and talk about maybe recruiting...and you need to be 18 to join because of the complete stuff its all about...
So no direct 40k Knowledge aquired if you want to join...even if you are from England and want to join the party...should be also no prob but beware...normally the commands are given out in german dont know if it then will be handled in multilanguage when some english speaking guys join...im sure we can work something out.

And always remember the last word in recruiting has the Inquisitor...he orders new guys...If he says you are in (Lt. is his guide on recruiting) you will be one of the finest in Guards history...

I've been told that I mustn't dare do this ... so I'm going to do it anyway. I know this kit is nowhere near as good as any of the kit on here but, well, it's all I've got. Anyway, one drunken night my girlfriend and her friends decided to dress up in my old service kit and play 40K Imperial Guard v the "Nightime Shadows". Here is Valkyrie Pilot Sgt Finch in my old flying suit, service dress cap and some random vest. Oh Yeah ... and a dummy grenade about to be launched at me.  |
