Thanks to all, I like to see this awesome pain.... ;D the weight of the bolter is near 40pounds...the ammo belt carried by myself on the last pics weights near 18 pounds... I think without using metal, it is the easiest way to do it with plastic sheets and tubes....you can glue it, and the tools are in the hand of every mini -gamer. But this is the area of our artist "kommissar"......... What do you think about me...? "Also we have no unlimited cash reserve." If I would have unlimited cash reserves .....then I´ll have an tank Transporter....loaded with an tank on the back....loaded with the hydra AA turret on the back of the tank...followed by an CH-53 instead of an Valkyrie( its difficult to realize)... Nooo, no unlimited cash reserves....on my side too.... Ohh...Kommissar..I´ve found this in on a german board, it is a publicity for an costume competition of one of the german biggest toy/comic/larp/game events. I did´nt know something about this pic....I found it yesterday I meet the Inquisitor on the pic on an larp event this year, he is one of the official rpg team from Schattenjäger. Greets Watts WOW Watts! that's pretty awesome! can you tell us anymore about the contest? i wonder what some of the contestants will be like.. i take this as a huge compliment that someone used our pictures for that! though i think your work should have been shown more than just in the background, the fact yours is made from metal really sets it apart from everyone else! love your servo skull and the inquisitors sleeve by the way, did you make those as well?

kommissar: I was´nt there on the competition, but this one was the winner: What do yo mean? Nice too.... Yes, I do´nt see that negative, is a cool pic, and that the troops are in the background is ok....we are not so important, we only te grunts... ;D The skull and the sleeve is done by the inquisitor himself, he is an really artist in writing, painting and do sculptures. But he work only for his equipment and spend more time for every piece as I can do... Greets Watts

@ LtEricWatts. Cheers Mate, If you ever build a Valk or need a tank crew uniform I'll send them. I spent 22 years in the British version of the German "ObjektSchutz Regiment". Although I'm not sure if their roles are exactly the same. I was employed on Anti-Aircraft, Infantry, Parachute, Helicopter units and instructional. spazmunke. I worked with a German PanzerGrenadier platoon in Bosnia in 1996. The ranks have equivelents to British ranks but the structure of the platoon is very different. Whereas Brits have three sections of eight men (each split into two fire teams of four men) commanded by a Platoon HQ of five. And that's pretty much how it stayed, quite rigid, you worked in that group and that was that. The Panzergrenadiers had a platoon of 22 (+ or - one) and they operated as a single unit with no one NCO "having men in his own group" the Pl Cdr would just decide what Platoon resources are required for each task he had been given and allocate those resources (human and hardware) accordingly. All this may have changed since then but I don't see why, it worked well enough.

RedCuffs: I´m not sure...in the german forces there are for the Navy the units called "Marinesicherungskompanie" and for the Air Force the "Luftwaffensicherungskompanie" they guarding and protecting the naval and air bases. Trained for ground fighting in all ways, air defence with stinger and Machine guns(twin linked MG3) 20mm ADA (not sure at this time)and Firefighting. The "marinesicherungskompanien" are trained for boarding, fast roping too, and sometimes based in teams on frigates. And in germany there is the battalion called "Wachbattallion" to protect the goverment and mostly represent( like the grenadier guards in Britain) with military ceremonies. Greets Watts

Ah, and how real world militaries haave such varried unit structure as their Imperial Guard counterparts.
Im in a squad of 4, in a platoon of 20 something that is also the only platoon in our company (so company strength of 20something + commander and first sergeant), in a battalion of maybe 150 and brigade of a little over 1000, and to top it off, I havnt done the job I was trained for since I finished school for it almost 3 years ago.
Sorry about poor punctuation, im on a rant and ive been up since 0730 Saturday, and its 0430 Sunday at the moment.

Sorry, I thought it was ObjektSchutz. I saw them on the internet when I google German air force Regiment. This is my old mob www.raf.mod.uk/careers/jobs/rafregimentgunner.cfmI joined in 1982 and a lot changed in my time, not to mention since I left in 2004. @ Spazmunke ... Go to bed !!!

Cant, pulling a 24 hour duty.
And the unit I am in is a prime example of american waste, as we truly are a waste of tax-payer's money. What I do all day is sit in my office playing stupid internet flash games from about 0900 to 1700. We dont go "to the field" to train, as we have no equipment to train on. Oh, and we are "non-deployable"

Thanks a lot.. "I don't know where you find the time and energy." I had some visions and try to realize them....thats all... ;D "Just to find that it's all exactly correct." Not all....I think a gamer working with the minis find some points of un- correctness...but my meaning of this hobby is..looking good, looking realistic ....and it must be working. With a special style of free interpretation(and my faible for modern armys)...in creating armour and weapons greets Watts

what would happen if theoretically someone posed as a threat?
like for instance, an opposing army of daemons or traitor marines?

;D What a question....first there is the order to the squad to take care......then the order against the wasting of ammo....and then we take many cool pics... Without any joke...we can do the same thing as the battle-displayer....arrange very nice photos to motivate some people...and have fun. Greets Watts
