nope, not unless they stole from ancient texts thats a quote from Sun Tzu's The Art of War And tis not meant to be taken literally as that, think about it more froma militaristic point of view. if you are weak, spread your men out so it looks like theirs more. if you are strong, hide part of your army. It doesn't translate too well into table top, as your oponent knows exactly where your army is. But bear in mind, this was a time when you couldn't see the entire battlefield at once. EDIT- Planetstrike FOC's Attackers: Compulsory: 1 HQ Optional: 2 HQ 6 Elite 6 Troop 8 Fast Attack 3 Heavy Support. Defenders: Compulsory 1 HQ 2 Troops Optional 3 Elite 6 Troop 3 Fast Attack 6 Heavy Support Speculations on what the little headings mean in the video. A new way to fight: game types and rules? the muster forces one is obviously the FOC charts. Prepare your defences: out of points cost, able to buy barricades? new buildings, most probably new set up options?

HOW LONG WOULD WE HAVE TO WAIT TO KNOW IF WE GET VALHALLANS?!?!?!?!?!
I really want to know because as of yet I have only collected little bits of armies and I was about to go all out and buy imperial guard and convert them all into a winter scheme, but if new models come out I would rather buy them.
I wonder if they are coming out? I wonder if they are coming out? I wonder if they are coming out? I wonder if they are coming out? I wonder if they are coming out? I wonder if they are coming out? I wonder if they are coming out?

ya dude? please don't. Kinda annoys me. If they are comming out, then GW will inform us before summer, more than likely a month before at latest. As they have confirmed it two months in advance. so soon. But personally I doubt it.

Looking at the foc slots, it seems that it could be very unfair to the defender w/o any special considerations. Although if only compulsory choices are made it's a suicide mission for the attacker

wait, 8 troops is unfair? look at the new dex again a basic platoon (5 squads) is 55 men, you can have 8 of the,. thats 440 men.... just from the troops. each one of them gaining the FRF, SR... order.... and with the ability to merge into a super unit. (147 shots) (can more than one platoon merge? or is it restricted to one platoon?) so think how many shots you get from this order. 43 of the platoon get benefits from this, with 147 shots rapid fire. 8 of these squads is 1176 shots.... now do some math hammer and this is just troops

Yeah, i didn't mean only for Armageddon, but it seems a logical place to start. Most new supplementary rules are focused around one battle, and can be used to represent other battles. I know that they're releasing new buildings with the books release.
Seems cool, do we know what month it will be released in?

It doesn't say 8 troops for defenders. And that's only a valid number and such for the Guard. Anyway, logistically, w/ 50+ guys, not all of them will be in range until the enemy is to close (unless you're into that sorta thing).

Six Deathstrikes. Despite how much it was nerfed, just do it for the psychological impact.
OR
18 Medusas. Eat it, fraggers!

I've heard that the buildings were scratch-built. You can see that the tops are the same as the barricades on the ground level. Dare say there is going to be something - and those new barricades do look rather nice...

I reacon the Ironclad looks dry, looks just as flimsy as the normal drednought.

It's not. It has more armor, and one more cc attack, with a very angry weapon.

You know, I'm kinda disappointed in the look they gave the seismic hammer. I pictured a dreadnought carrying an actual hammer, sort of like the Furioso, but with a hammer.
Guess if I ever use one I'll just have to make my own...

It would look better with some kind of reactive armour molded on.

Control, fair enough. It's true that the look of this thing isn't representative of its rules. Yeah, the hammer looks more like that arm from forgewolrd, and the interior modeled HK's are annoying if you don't want them there (though, why wouldn't you?). This dreadnought is jut the Ultramarines trying to be as cool as the Blood Angels. They fail, because Furiosos can still be venerable and even death company. Ironclad vs Furioso = Furioso win.

No one can be as cool as a Furioso, it's just not possible. They only thing that may be better is a plastic kit for the Furioso, but being all metal it becomes an effective projectile to be used against an annoying opponent.
