Real-scale Space Marines are always cooler than non-real scale ones.

Fantastic stuff, looking forward to watching your progress, the only thing I could add is that the tip of the commanders shotgun be changed as it is very recognisable as a tip of a bolter... Assuming that is a shotgun, i think i read it somewhere in this thread.

Thanks guys! tridman: Totally agree with you there mate. In addition to adding the details I be moving the bolter barrel up and adding a second barrel below it to make it look more like a shotgun. Here's the slightly reworked model as he stands now. I've bulked out the torso a little bit, lengthened the groin plate and thickened the inner thighs. Still needs some major clean up work but I'm a bit happier with him now. I've blu-taced the back pack on which I will be making into a proper Mk IV pack. I think that as this guy is bigger than my regular actual scale stuff I may need to lengthen the pack but a mil or so.

Nice idea to make the shotty cooler. Cant wait to see the finished painted product!
Haha superfrog! wtf
PS: Could you please put these models when they are finished next to a normal marine and imperial guard, i wana gawk and make comments like 'ooo' and 'wow' at the size difference and awesomeness of them both.

Cheers guys! tridman:Yeah no problem mate but I better get some "ooo" and "wow" comments from you. Here's a quick update on Enoch stood next to my old Heresy era Night Lords Captain. I've addressed a few of the issues that were bugging me since I straightened the legs and got him a bit better proportioned now. Still needs some major clean up work, especially on the feet, but he's getting there. I'm itching to get back to working on the guard now.

Cheers guys! tridman: I'm aiming to get the sculpting done by the weekend with any luck so that I can start painting him. Whilst I'm doing that I'll be putting the army platoon together and knocking together a test model for the ad mech protector squad. Quick Update The shotgun is begining to take shape now. I've got the basic form in place just need to sharpen the edges before ploughing on with the details.

Woah damn, that barrel fed shotgun is so cool What is the head from? A normal Space Marine sprue? Also how do you get your greenstuf lines so sharp! Can you maybe post a pic of your tools you use?

If your open to ideas:
Thats a massive shotgun, may I propse that instead of having two boltgun tips on the end, there be a single tip possibly made of platic rod. I only say this because the gun appears as if it would shoot 1 shell at a time.
Also seeing as your greenstuffing skills are awesome, you could knock up some honour studs for his forehead, to show that he has been around for many battles.

Gah. This is the kind of thread where I have no idea what to post praise-wise, cause the whole damn thing is better than most of what I've seen done by anyone else, ever.
Oh wait, that'll do.
Fantastic job! I love the pose, very commanding. I'd love to hear how you get such sharp GS lines too, if you've got the time to explain ;D

Thanks guys! Scarper: Thanks for the compliment mate, the shoulder pads are regualr plastic split across the middle then filled with greenstuff to make them longer on this guy and on the Night Lord they're terminator pads with the edges filled in. tridman: Got it in one mate, they are indeed based on terminator parts. Sounds like a great idea for your chaplain, keeping watching for the tutorial vids I'm putting together. tridman: I'm always open to suggestions. Yeah that sounds like a good idea I'll give it a bash and see how it turns out. Definately adding services studds as well. pupyut:The head is from the WFB chaos marauder horseman sprue. This might be of some use to you, it's one of the tutorial vids I'm working on for simple GS techniques leading up to my Actual Scale marine tutorial. www.youtube.com/watch?v=EExgS2uibUU

Awesome! service studs will look the part, as will a single barrel tip on the shotgun. At the moment I have the chaplain model jumping off the rock with jump packs for my flesh tearers. I have played with GS a bit but I dont have the skills yet to make a truescale SM. Let me know on this thread when your video tutorials are up. Oh and seeing as I caught you out, haha, how bout posting up a piccy next to a normal scale space marine!

Thanks guys! tridman: Sure thing mate, the moment the vids are up I'll post a link here for you and I'll get a scale shot up asap. The Chaplain sounds like a great model, very dynamic by the sound of things. Looking forward to seeing that!

I was hoping to have him finished today but got sidetracked. I've started on the bionic arm and am still cleaning up the shotgun. I've also added the MkIV helmet to which I'll probably be adding the snout guard and will be converting the pack to match the Mk IV version at the bottom of this page. I still need to add a holstered plasma pistol. I've also raised the head a little but still need to add service studs. With any luck I'll be finished tomorrow and begin the painting that I'm itching to start.
