Cheers guys! Commissar: Definately... Although you can say I've officially lost the plot if I ever start on a truescale Emperor titan to go with them.

UpdateThis is a good definition of irony. For Captain Varren I thought the cavalry sword that comes with the Baneblade commander would look really nice but figured that I'd end up breakling it off as it is quite fine. Some how I managed to step on the model without realising it was there and the original sword and arm are now lost. So I've gone back, rebuilt the model and added the cavalry sword as originally planned. I'm going to under coat and start painting his this afternoon as all this sculpting is driving me around the bend.

A GW guardsman would look absolutely hilarious next to that true-scale marine.
This is really great stuff, man. You are a gs champion.

Keep up the good work, I am really impressed with your skill with green stuff and sculpting. I have never worked with the stuff before but your work may inspire me to start playing around with it.
Just out of interest, how long did it take you to get good with sculpting and working with green stuff?
Look forward to seeing more!

Thanks mate! It's definately one of those annoying things where practice makes perfect and I still have a long way to go myself. Best thing to do is start off with gap filling and converting and work up from there. I've been mucking about with greenstuff for about six years on and off but have only really started proper sculpting over the last couple of years. This doesn't mean that it'll take you two years, people can jump leaps and bounds in a couple of minis with the right advice.

Freakin awesome doghouse! I know you want to get painting, but maybe bulk out the plasma pistol, as it looks very small on a true scale marine.
Cant wait to see the finished product!

Thanks mate! Yeah I think you could be right there. I might have to go back and change it. Painting has now begun. I've basecoated him with Charadon Granite and am now going over that with a mix of Charadon/Codex Grey. Normally I start with the face as it's the focal point but wanted to see how the armour turned out. I've superglued him to a paint pot in case anyone is wondering to make it easier to handle the miniature without the need for touching him.

Quick UpdateI've got the basic colour for the grey sorted now and am playing around with highlights, shading and weathering. I've got the basecoat for the skin in place and will begin to highlight, shade and work in the stubble. He's coming along nicely now.

Cheers guys! Yeah definately space wolves. tridman: He'll be fairly clean except for the heraldry and I forgot to add an oath of moment so I'll have to go back and add that. Quick Update Got a bit more done. I've started the heraldry on the shoulder pad which will be a quartered design and I'll also be addiing the RT era captain badge to his fore arm. Still loads to do but he's getting there.

Are you going to slap on a few bulletholes and that to keep it in line with the story you wrote? Maybe a little battle damage, considering how old his armour is. Oh, and fantastic work, totally outclassing everyone else and all that jazz, yadda yadda

Cheers guys! tridman: I'm making an old school battle droid based on Jes Goodwin's concept for the Collusus mk II design. pupyut: It started out as a regular terminator marine torso but I ended up sculpting over it completely in the end. This guy started out life as an AoBR terminator that looked like this: With a bit of chopping and greenstuffing I got him to the stage he's at now.

Scarper: Possibly, I've got another bit of story coming up that will help define the model a little more.

No not yet, I'll be putting some shots up soon. Quick updateI've made some more progress on Enoch and have started the heraldry. I still need to redo the barrel of the shotgun and am about to start work on the Space Wolves icons. I'll probably do the base in a desert scheme, partially because everyone does them with snow bases and to make him pop out a bit from the base itself. I'll do some shots of the heraldry later, my camera battery died just as I was taking them. I may pop into town later today to pick up the first bits for project X as well.

Update Now that the model is getting near the completion point I've gone back over a few areas and begun adding more details. I've got rid of the tiny pistol and added a proper sized version complete with first editon style holster as seen on the original RTB01 marines. I've also begun to add a grenade as a nod to my old Night Lords captain and a pouch. I've still got a lot of cleaning up to do paintwise but have begun the heraldry. The shoulder pad is quartered as in the old school style. Incidently the Heresy came about originally because when they made the original Epic Space Marine and Adeptus Titanicus it was easier to have the same models for both sides. I've also begun the rogue trader era captain marking on his left fore arm and base coated the base in snakebite leather.

Thanks mate! Update Here's the third character that I'm working on that will be a proxy for an Inquisitor Lord mainly so that I can include a Landraider in the force but also to cement the Adeptus Mechanicus presence. I'm trying to give this guy an unsettling alomst alien feel by giving him lots of movement in the robes he wears. I can see it being a bit like the cloak that Spawn wears in some respects and the gothic nature of the Adeptus Mechanicus off sets the more scientific and enlighted aspects of the time. To re-enforce this he will be painted in darker more muted colours.
