In other news, I was involved in a minor car accident today at the mall. The guy controlling traffic flow motioned for me to proceed, then stepped out in front of me, forcing me to cut my steering wheel to avoid hitting him, and I grazed the bumper of an SUV that was parked at the end of the row I was turning around. Fortunately it did no major damage, and in a mind-blowing turn of events, it turns out that the car I hit belongs to an old classmate of mine from high school! She just messaged me to let me know she got my insurance information and to not worry about it, since the damage was so minor. Also: 1800!!!Any charges should be billed to the guy who waves you forward, then steps in front of you.

With regards to british police, ive worked with 4 retired officers and theyre all brilliant blokes... all worked through the sweeny era of policing I have a school friend in hampshire police and hes too straight edged to be a racist homophobic pathological lier. I also have a very good friend going through his MOD police training (went to the same training centrw for my course last week) and hes a brilliant bloke too. Only times ive dealt with police theyve been very nice and helpful, even when getting a ticket. My secret? I dont break the law and I talk to people with respect.

I remember the baby just forgot to tell you all. You'll have to file the forms for child forgetting, and the forms for the requisition of flak armor size: infant.

I've just ordered some pretty armor so that I can be a somewhat protected Elf Paladin at LARP. I'm looking forward to killing things with a 7 foot stick that hits for infinite damage.

Isn't infinite damage just overkill? There wouldn't be much left afterwards either.

The IR viewer, along with a bunch of other accessories (motion tracker, welder, dummy Gerber Mk II, belt tool, and a holster for my resin VP70 Z) for my Colonial Marines costume arrived today. Imma be working with lotsa resin in days to come to get all the pieces cleaned up and put together. Unfortunately, the IR viewer was assembled backwards, but it took all of two minutes to fix, and now all I need is some epoxy to attach it to the inside of the helmet. Edit: Oh, and over the Thanksgiving holiday time this happened: "I say we go back in there and nerve gas the whole fornecatin' nest."

Isn't infinite damage just overkill? There wouldn't be much left afterwards either. There is no such thing as overkill, only open fire, and I need to reload. And in the case of a melee weapon that doesn't run out of ammo, there isn't even the reload part. My general philosophy, when it comes to games in which killing things is one of the goals, is that the best status effect that you can put on a thing is dead. Thus the best thing to build towards mechanically is hitting first, and doing as much damage as possible. Health and defense are pointless if your opponent is too dead to hit back. Ideally this means infinite damage, 1 health, ranged or reach weapon. Reach weapon doesn't run out of ammo, and sometimes there is more enemy than ammo, so reach weapon wins out. Dodgeiness counters the potential for a ranged weapon to ruin your day before your reach weapon ruins theirs.

The infinite damage ensures that there is no ribcage to get stuck in.

Ironically enough, one of my recent firearms acquisitions has been modified so as to make it possible for both of these things to happen... 'Tis glorious!

Trooper. Your collection of aliens colonial marines stuff is inducing much envy, jealousy and other bad things. Keep it up! Its great stuff! Thanks! I'll be doing much sanding, assembly, and painting in my free time over the holidays. Oh, and yesterday I broke down and bought an actual VP70 Z that had been on consignment at the range I go to since the summer. Its sights are garbage, but it's a neat piece of history to own, and I've now got a template to super-detail the resin kit of it. Keeping with the tradition of naming my guns I have christened it "Gorman the As$hole." The nerve gas canister was a lot of fun to build and paint, although finding the appropriate pipe fittings to get the regulator attached to the barrel was an epic journey that involved many missteps, but I finally got a clerk at a local hardware store to help me find the right reducers to achieve it (he had to take me into the back of the shop which normally isn't accessible to customers and we spent about half an hour rummaging through various bins of fittings). Funnily enough, today I had to tell a kid in one of my classes today that, "Class isn't time for playing Five Finger Fillet," when I caught him doing it with his pencil. Edit: I have two more things that I am going to be working on: I'm going to be making a medkit with gimmicked up nerve agent antidote auto-injectors, and also am going to make a chicken bone necklace (along the lines of the one Drake had). I've actually got some chicken leg and wing bones from the chickens I recently roasted and whose carcases I then turned into stock soaking in bleach right now.

It would be fun being an Orc (on the train). How would one go about achieving this lofty ideal? Also, Trooper.. it's a Five Knuckle Shuffle, not a chicken finger fillet sandwich with lettuce

Also, Trooper.. it's a Five Knuckle Shuffle, not a chicken finger fillet sandwich with lettuce I think we are thinking of drastically different games, Chem... Although the one you mentioned also can involve a "chicken." Wait. What? So I got the IR viewer epoxied into my helmet. Waiting for the epoxy to cure (it's been about 45 minutes) and resisting the urge to mess with it (i.e. run around the house brandishing my Pulse Rifle and wearing my helmet with the viewer deployed whilst making pew-pew-pew noises).

"Go to infrared, people..." Now I just need to get some batteries to power the LED that will cause the etchings on the eyepiece to glow.
