Whooooo, I'm so scared. Are you going to kill us all in the name of 'the greater good'. FEAR OUR ARTILLEREY! FEAR OUR TANKS! FEAR OUR, eh (frantic whispering) men with toilet tissue flak armour.... But Commissar, everything dies to baneblades. And tis a most usefull tactic turtle boy. Kills tau like the slimy little walking fish they are. Works remarkably well against assaulty armies too.

only a fool does not respect his enemies for a general no matter how many battles he has seen or enemies he has killed can all ways be surprised by something new.
never lose respect for an enemy because when you become to sure of yourself you can expect them to take you out.

Bah! The soviet union would still be around if it werent for that pussy gorbachev. Now the poor russians can go out and buy italian shoes, but unfortunately they have to eat them as well. Hell hounds rule, but I cant see them working in apocalypse too well unless its city fight.

Hellhounds will still work in Apocalypse for transports and the like.. plus there are still going to be the odd ball space marine player or nid player our there with mass infantry.. plus with Orks coming out.. hellhounds are going to come back with a lot of force for holding the greentide at bay there..
Cheers Gris

hell hounds I've prepared three for Apocalypse but on all there previous outings they've just failed to achieve anything, all with a 3+ save can simply laugh at its attempts to get into range and even when they are toasted smurfs the old 3+ comes out i had a modicum of success against the tyranids but mostly there just small fry burners, the best thing about them is the fact there cheep points wise a normally takes a couple of turns for them to die so its less AT shots for your Russes, i still wouldn't buy them if all i faced was smurfs

no and for good reason. i dont think any squad would willingly venture into what is a time bomb waiting to go off unless they were a pyro or the pilot. its only a 2 man vehicle. driver and heavy bolter firer and turret control.
(by the way the bane blade is a 10 man vehicle. all those guns with only 10 men driving)

Although I've had great success with not putting the lasguns on all my chimaras and using my hellhound as a chimera escort . . .. works well if you've got a couple of heavy flamer chimera. Nobody knows which tank is the 'hound.

While I never played the game, I did get Hellhounds for the simple purpose of burning those damn pansy eldar out of cover. Bye, 4+ save when in bushes.

Yeah I know eh. Gods they come in handy some times. Even the heavy flamers on a chimera can do some damage as well.

Hellhounds rock. I want another 1. Mine is always targeted from the start. First game, it didn't even get to fire, but it was still worth it for the scare factor. Certainly made up for it the nexy game, frying sisters Like everything in the Guard, u really want at least 2 tho.

I really don't like the GW model though. The FW ones are really cool, I might get some in the future.
What are Hellhounds like against SM?

lol
Mabus: better than lasguns with higher strength and they can get those sniper scouts and stuff but they are less effective vs. power armoured armies
