Yeah, I guessed so. I probably stick to the good old fashioned Leman Russ. Thanks.

2 Leman Russ [Or on LRMBT and One Leman Russ Vanquister when allowed] Backed up up by one Armoured Fist Squad, One One Lascannon Sentinel [Plus a Multi-Melta one when allowed] with 2 Harded vet squads before and backed up by Kaskrin Squad.
Makes and awesome look on your oppents face.

Really good if you're playing 4+ save enemies (obviously), but another thing it does have going for it is that it only takes up a piddling little fast attack slot, rather then a precious Heavy support.

Hell hounds are, to my way of htinking one of the best tanks for the points.
they wound all infantry on 2's,flame weapons ignore cover, plus they have the hull mounted weapon and you can give them a stubber and a missile.
i play between 1k- 1500 pts and usually closer to 1k.It's hard to justafy a russ and a bassy in 1k pts but using a hell hound and a chimera as flankers is great. At 750 it is killer.
all in all it is a great tank.

Hellhound rocks!! The weapons are amazing on that thing!! (the only bad thing is that it isn't so great against armor)

Hellhound rocks!! The weapons are amazing on that thing!! (the only bad thing is that it isn't so great against armor) Not bad against low or rear armour though considering the strength and that it's effectively twin linked. You could even hit multiple vehicles if they are close together or a squadron.

that best greenskin killer money can buy, if it wern't for the sneeky greens having that counts only as open top for troop movement on there trucks it would be the only thing worth taking against the greenskins, but take three against a green skin and watch those squiggers burn, your oponent will be proper miffed when his squad of 20 feerless boys become toast then leg it in two turns, and the closer they get the more you burn especially if you put a heavy flamer on the hull,

they can save and win games. if your opponent is running a squad of genestealer up the left flank just send a hellhound and most of them will go up in flames

I was just considering getting one last night- no joke! I discussed it with my friend, and in my list it was either an assaulty veterans squad with 3 flamers and a heavy bolter, or a hellhound. I decided upon the hellhound just from the standpoint that armor toting such massive firepower as a FAST ATTACK choice is too good to pass up. Ironically, I tooled around with my list for a while, and cut enough so I could fit both in, but thats beside the point...

I always take one in my 1500 point army, I have the Artemia pattern from FW, it looks very cool indeed, I've never had an issue with it's frgility, it's nearly always got more than it's points back and has on many an occasion been the unit of the game for me, in my last 3 outings against Nurgle CSM, CSM and Nid's it's caused no end of hassle for my oponents. I've just bought another one and am planning on taking them both to a tournament that I'm going to soon. Granted against anything with a 3+ armour save it's less effective, but let's face it the more dice you force your oponent to roll the more chances they have of failing, against anything else they wound on a 2+ and chances are will kill as AP is 4, plus they do attract alot of fire, away from other units, plus with Frint and Side armour of 12, place 2 back to back and you have a very good 7 inch road block that will force your oponents into the firing lines of your other units. Hellhounds are one of my favourite tanks as even if they miss on the BS roll any model under any part of the template is wounded on a 4+, plus you can arrange the template in any direction you like with in the 24" range, plus it can move 6" and still fire, tool it up with the HHB and PMHS and you have an awful amount of saves that your oponent is going to have to make.
