you are limited to
1-hq 2-troops 1-elite 1-fast attack 0-heavy support
if you want to take Inquisition allies for SMurfs of IG

You can get around that and have three Immolators, though. One for the Celestian retinue, one for Celestians, and one for Dominions.
If you want Exorcist awesomesauce dripping off your list, you need to have WH as your core force.

I've been wondering can you take exorsist an ally Only way you can do this is if the WH is the parent list and the IG are the allied list. If the IG are the parent then the heavy choices of the WH are not an option unless you take them as a dedicated transport. Anyone say Immolator?

I'd think that Grey Knight Terminators would be a fun choice as allies for an IG army. They seem to be much more cost-effective than the normal Grey Knights, and for only 6 pts more than a normal SM termie you get Fearless, +1 WS, protection against psyker powers, Shrouding and -1 ld for all daemons on the board for whatever that's worth. Plus their nemesis weapons, power weapons at S6 actually seems overall better than a power fist to me, unless there are Dreadnoughts, Wraithlords or other such nuisance running around. I think they can take a Land Raider as a dedicated transport too, but I'm not sure...

Not to mention that those grey knights can be transported in a Valk/Vendetta as well.
Lot's of Psycannon love.
Anyone ever tried firing those things while in flight? I mean it does have access points to fire from.

Ssgtdude, there are no fire points from a valk. Otherwise, it would be too awesome.

Grey Knights are awesome allies in my opinion. Deathwatch are better but at the same time are VERY VERY expensive. Though all that firepower potential is drool worthy, I include allies to augment my combat ability.

Any way you want it, discuss! While I usually do the other way around (Take IG allies for my Sisters army), with the new codex I am very tempted to simply take: Canoness w/Celestian Retinue in a Rhino/Immolator (flamer/heavy flamer) 2x Battle Sister Squads in Rhinos (HF/Melta) As a forward objective capturing group to aid my slowly growing IG army. Also, you'd never want to take immolators as heavy support choices anyway. They're basicly just overpriced razorbacks. Fine as transports, but as heavy support choices they suck. You'd be better off getting an Exorcist.

Ssgtdude, there are no fire points from a valk. Otherwise, it would be too awesome. I'll have to look into this. I was under the impression that the valk had two fire points (door gunners)

I recall that the Air Cav in Vietnam and Apocalypse Now flew Hueys and not Valkyries...

siaz, where are the deathwatch rules? I can't seem to remember having heard where to find them. I recall that the Air Cav in Vietnam and Apocalypse Now flew Hueys and not Valkyries... Pshaw, what's the difference. Guys shooting out the side is always a good thing. I honestly want to see a heavy bolter for the rear ramp on a trapeze mount of a valkyrie, but I'm just a fan of overarming everything I get my hands on.

I knew I should've forked out the fat stacks of cash required for a subscription. Oh well. What're they like? Psychotic sternguard marines on steroids?

Grey Knights work just fine in Imperial Guard, giving us a solid melee unit that can both dish it out and take it. Of course, I'm talking about the Terminators. They are particularly fun if you have an HQ that can grant them Furious Charge. As for Battle Sisters, I like their squads 12 strong, and mounted in a valkyrie. I don't give them meltaguns, since I don't want to waste all those boltgun shots (with Acts of Faith to make em pseudo-rending ). I give meltaguns (and shotguns) to my Veteran squads (Death Korps models), and give the Sisters a flamer and heavy flamer. My HQ of choice is Iron Hand. Battle Sisters with furious charge and counter-charge are like cheap marines. I keep him in a Vendetta in my lines, sniping enemy vehicles, and turbo-boosting in when I need to give something his bonuses. Since you measure from the hull, it increases his radius by quite a bit. Oh, and sadly terminators cannot ride in valkyries.

There is the White dwarf article that has the two snipers able to fire from the Valk as well. Of course it is a special Valk, but that has some uber hotness to it.

By Pseudo-Rending... they become AP1. They dont' get any bonus to penetration, they get a bonus to damage. In close combat it simply becomes a power weapon attack.

I've been interested ever since first seeing this game in fielding Space Marines (or, from reading this, Sisters of Battle) along with an IG force... I'm not finding anything for this in the codex. Is this an "Only good with friends" thing, or just a rules possibility that I keep skimming over?

The rules for this are in the Deamonhunter and Witch Hunter codex.

Use Grey Knights (Codex: Daemonhunters). Yes, they are Space Marines. Second founding chapter number 666.
