A plastic Thunderhawk fascinates and depresses me at he same time. I won't be able to afford it.

It depresses me cause its time and money spent on SMURFS!!!!!!!!!!! When they could be working on Dark Eldar or Necrons.

Its coming for this xmas guys I'm afraid. (oct release I think) Late last year it was first sighted during a small event at warhammer world when two members of staff ran through the hall carrying the outer box it will be released in - the stunt that started the rumours of the thunderhawk. Its a true story quite a few GW managers/staff have confirmed it. But the good news is that next year is the planned release for the plastic IG warhound titan. The proto frames were spotted early this year by GW staff when they were getting training over the new releases this year like the IG codex. I wouldn't worry about facing a thunderhawk, its gonna retail for at least £100 and how the hell anyone will transport it to a local club along with the rest of an army is anyones guess and should you have the missfortune to face one they really aren't that hard to bring down with concentrated fire (and a lot of 6's). Nothing hurts a marine player more than seeing his pride and glory go down in flames, its funnier when its a forgeworld model though because they spent hundreds of pounds on it.

There's a solution to transporting Thunderhawks (and I can't believe I'm paraphrasing Terminus here...):
It's got wings, just fly it there. Sheesh.

That Thunderhawk is actually a Forge World model in the White dwarf. A friend of mine has it and went over the pics in great detail looking for differences. Sadly, the pics and his model match panel line to panel line down to the last exposed rivet.
However, This is not to say that they will not come out in plastic. I do forsee it happening in the near future. Perhaps with the next Smurf Codex release for 6th Ed. Which as you guys know isn't that far off.

Hello! it wasn't a built model that was seen at warhammer world or a forgeworld one it was two staff running through the gaming hall with the outer retail box - a stunt to start all these rumours and get everyone talking about possible upcoming releases. The plastic thunderhawk is due oct 09 I kid you not!
