Ah.....
I presume it's safe to pursue up until we hit the sandstorm? (And that just took all the fun out of decision making....)

Wait, you're asking me if it's unsafe chasing after an experienced and intelligently led force of hardened and battle-hungry (and battle-worthy!) Orks into a sandstorm where you can only watch their movements from within range of their weapons?

Kai can if he wants. I just said that my tanks are stopping at the city limits.
Edit: Kai, Helmian, you can bring your forces in now. Use pads 1 and 2. Master, wait until Melissia has the LG contact Van and vouch for you.

I kinda pictured it like "Oh my god, sudden sand storm near the city!"

The Rouge Trader left, and the Lord General (we don't have his actual name, I think) is now in command of the invasion.

The Rogue Trader left because, quite honestly? I didn't like roleplaying her character and it added way too much work for me (being notoriously lazy). I instead opted to roleplay through the Lord General, Telena Elukai the Blank, and the Orks. Whom I would have had to roleplay anyway, but now I don't have to deal with roleplaying the Imperial Guard forces and I can basicly be a DM, roleplaying your enemies and moving the plot along as need be.
The Lord General has a name and indeed this name is in the roleplay thread (shortly before the second battle ended I believe, the one in the desert where they laid the superb ambush against the "Armored Krumpany"), but it's irrelevant because he's coordinating a dozen spheres of battle and doesn't have time to spend on this one except for a few "Be advised" warnings that help the plot move along.

You gotta prove to my guys you aren't going to shoot them in the back. They just finished a deployment at the Cadian Gate before this, so they're not trusting of any force that magically appears to help them, lest it be a traitor unit trying to pass itself off as loyal. Adopting a casual attitude toward all of this, especially the Vox hacking, is a very bad idea. Reds

Juts make a random one up. Van won't really know if it's right or not, since your Regiment may do things differently. Reds

Just to bring everyone up to speed, we've swept the main Ork force out of the city, and are running down the last survivors. The battle is, essentially, over. master: Hacking the Vox Net and randomly appearing isn't a great way to get us to trust you, so the guys under my command are understandably wary. I suggest you come up with a story about being part of a Crusade that got separated during Warp Transit, or stranded somewhere, and had to scrounge weapons from the enemy. You got dumped out here when you escaped. You can also be a group of Guardsman who escaped from DE, broke free from Tau enslavement, etc. I'm sure you'll think of something. Also, NMFP stands for "Not My Frakking Problem" Reds

I fixed it, only to get Ninja'd by RT -_-
Ah well, that actually makes it MORE believable.
Oh, and RT.....Well, unless it was on purpose, Hell's Bane is spelled like that....just saying...you can spell it Hellbane if you want....
(I.E Bane is sorta something's fear, or weakness, so they're essentially saying, "We are Hell's bane."

1. It was deliberate.
2. I do love Lucan's infinite political connections and importance. I wonder what I shall do with him....(besides annoying superiors)....
3. Reds, stop trying to Ninja me. This is my battlefield Van Dremmond is on, and the battle is still semi-raging at one end. And my boys basically ripped it up from one end to the other. So yes, I'll butt in. And besides, I had plans for more fighting over the starport. Now, again, I'm compelled to save them because it seems we can take an entire city in a single page. So yes, I'm a touch annoyed once again.

Of course, if he gets too important and attempts to derail the plot, I'll probably have him killed in a sudden Ork ambush or lucky artillery barrage. Perhaps that plasma artillery again.

Not trying to ninja you, just playing the natural reaction. A Guard Commander would wonder why there are casualties on one of the only serviceable landing points, especially when other facilities (ranging from Chimeras w/medkits to field hospitals) are available.
I also assumed the Starport was still fairly intact, since the plan (as discussed) was to be able to use it right after we captured it. Melissia did too, I think, as she's turned it into a major hub of troop movements.
My apologies, though, I won't do it in the future.
