I'm sure I've heard of a Librarian Dreadnought somewhere before, which if true - and not just a figment of my fevered imagination - would set precedence... but I do see your point. It woulod seem like some form of psychic insulation. But then, if nothing has been written on it previously, there's nothing to say it couldn't work...
An interesting prospect that would be entertaining if nothing else...

Yeah, Librarians wear armour. Maybe seed was thinking fantasy, because Wizards can't wear armour. Except Chaos armour and Elven chainmail, armour made out of trees or magical woad paint.
I'm giving serious thought to Blood Angels Air Cav. Tantalus :Armour 13 on the front, carries 16 marines or 8 jump-packers or termies, or one dreadnought. They might be able to assault straight out of it, like a Land Raider.

The question is, will it be as useful as the Valk/Ven.
Which to be honest is a pretty high standard.

If it only has the ass cannons, probably not. Even with being able to charge out of it, there's enough weapons that can ping it before it arrives.

From the rumors I've seen so far, I can't tell is they're ruining the BA and trying to cover it by adding some really cool new units. Time will tell.

It's very likely that's what's happening. Though the direction they seem to be taking with the fluff could be very interesting...if handled well.

The most interesting thing about marines is how the person playing them looks when you battle cannon them. I just love that. ;D

It will properly just be another gimmick unit. Nothing to worry about if you have a hydra.(I don't I might have to worry) I rarely play space marine players theres a wild section at my club of other armys and only a handful of space marines players.. mostly under the age of 15,.

I'm not ass cannons aren't good, but it requires you to be somewhat close for them to be used is all. That's the part that really hurts them.

I am intrigued about the successor chapter stuff, though. So it's not all gloom on the horizon.

True. The split in beliefs could also be rather interesting. Especially with the way the successor chapters are supporting one side or the other.

M'Kay! Rumours about the blood angels have hit fever pitch. About 4/5 days ago someone may or may not have leaked a PDF of the upcoming codex, either on Warseer or another site. Warseer's Blood Angel rumour thread has gone crazy ever since someone posted... something.. which has since been deleted. www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=242097&page=21Anyway the new BA flyer is probably called a Storm Harbinger, and only jump pack troops can charge out of it, straight into CC on the same turn that it deep strikes. All jump packer armies are back with a vengeance It's also possible that Death company have artificier armour on top of FNP, but no grenades.

Hm...
I got a friend that wants to trade me jump packers for necrons(which means I have to buy him necrons...)
and I got all those Blood Angel Terminators from Space Hulk...
So...we'll see.

I already have a purple BA successor chapter, currently about 2500 points, all jump infantry except for 15 terminators. They all wear helmets because they have the Red Thirst/ Black Rage thing pretty bad.. just like the Angels Sanguine. If I can find huge carry cases I may have to invest in Storm Harbingers to make an uber cheesy deep striking army.
