im back,... i went out on a scenery project... and when i walked into my room this morning i saw this...

and i was like... dang,... a lot of cleaning to do *this is the desk where i do my homework and stuff *
so,... we had a nice desert the other day... and i snatched the shell of it!
ive amde a flat surface to put in a door or something, only thing is,... what kind of buildnig should this be?


My first idea was making a powerplant kind off thing with the stuff round it being turbines or something (not really into electricity...) My base will have electric fences in the end so i need a powerplant kind of thing.
however,.. if someones got a better idea, please share. *this could also be an eldar structure since my brother plays this and has allmost no scenery and i am maybe willing to make him some *

ghehe,... at the moment, im scared of painting tanks :/ (im horrible at flat surfaces and weathering) So that will be a steed learning curve for me!

the plants are very free to copy, i think i posted this link in this topic... o well.. heres the dude that made it happen for me

really simple to carve them. just be sure to trim some of the leaves as they will get really awkward looking sometimes. a pair of sciccors or something does wonders!

as for the structure... im thinking to just go with the original powerplant idea. I need loads of electricity on my base and this looks like the closest to a powerplant 40K style (in my vision )

I have not been slacking, though i didnt have time to get some pics in. So i just made some quick snaps on what im working on atm. Here you go.

this is my wip tollbooth. The concrete gets better everytime i try it. I will not be altering the way of how i make it. This takes me about 5 to 10 minutes and then the whole concrete look is settled... so i like.
offcourse it still needs some reds on it. and those will come any time soon (finally found my tube of red paint!)

Here are the bases (all done except for the vegetation)
These will be used for my veteran squad. (as they would be more epic than regular guardsmen). And talking about veteran. heres the shotgun conversion for those dirty old basterds!

i still need to give them something extra so they dont look like an actual normal guardsman. thinking about equipment and stuff like that. time will tell what i will put on em

I also had a little fun making the meltagunners for the squad (only having 2 meltaguns !!) but this is what they should be looking like.

I also painted up (counting...)
- 7 regular guardsmen - fatigues are done
- 3 flamers - fatigues done and red basecoat applied
- started on my bison model
- vox caster 50% done
- grenadier, 50% done
- the scout heavy bolter (will be harker if i want to use him, untill i get a decent conversion for him) is 50% done.

No pics of that, since its pretty much the same as the regular troopers i posted earlier. Once the special weapons get done ill post em up

oke,... i had to search for my long dead topic So i hope this isnt necromacy and stuff...
just wanted to show you the little progres im making. Im in a little painting dip atm... its sunny and hate to spend time inside working on them. This is how far i got. (+ the 10 finished ones i got laying arround)

First off, my scenerypieces that have gotten some red on them. They look quite neat and wel taken care off. (as if the IG are really working on their buildings to keep em nice and shiny )

it isnt finished offcourse. but looks quite alright already.

this is all ive put colour on. I just basicly went on a grey rampage and highlighting those parts.
Now im doing the reds (all done) still needing to highlight most of the models (did 1)
here some closeups... (to keep myself motivated mainly)



ow,.. and my CCS. They have the negative colourscheme going for them. so they will be recognised easily

i played some fantasy for the last weeks and i started my first job (which takes me a LOT of effort to fullfill this past month)
so,... 40K and all things warhammer tend to lunger(is this even english?) in the shadows! NOOOO

i will be chkecn this forum now and then, but just not that often (until i get my everyday job stuff under control)

so,... stay tuned for a little longer... and i will necromance this thread right back up! no progress thus far..

well.. i painted up some more base colours since last update and sprayed my LRBT black... but nothing to be hopefull about

So,... something has awoken! its me!!!
As i mentioned, i would necromance this thread right back up when i had stuff under control at my new job! the time is now!!

and it feels good to be back. ive been working hard on my models lately, but i cant seem to find my camera at the moment and other picture stuff just doesnt do it for me. Cant make any decent fotos....

So, with this post, i want to announce my return!

hmmmm, last post oct. 2010.... its been a WHILE one might say. However. i have an update!
Ive been playing some 40K again! and its very very nice to be back.
Ive even bought a sweet deal!
steel legion models;
- 6 lasguns
- 3 with swords
- 1 missile launcher + missile carrier guy
- 1 grenadier
- 1 Plasma gunner
- 1 heavy bolter + ammo guy

1 guy with an arm missing, some sort of handgun and scuba outfit.

- 1 cadian heavy weapon team

- 7 metal space marines (sergeant with sword and some guys with halberds and wrist mounted pistols with 2 barrels) (not really knowing which models they are... and if they are even GW. though, they look like em)

and this all,... including shipping, for 35 euro's. which i think, is a pretty deal. Im currently searching for my photocamera WITH cable so i can upload them onto the interwebs...

for this year i hope to achieve a fully painted 1K army...
so,... 11 months left. I hope i get there!

Im (as this plog shows) into the cadian models. now, i do like to use these models i bought and would like to see them in 1 unit. this could be a CCS/PCS or even a veteran squad... how would i use these models? as in, how should i configure this squad? any input?

so, thought what the H. why not update something.
i dont have pics, still crapping around to find a decent photocamera here to make some pics.
i have been putting together my CCS and working on my PCS.
i bought an additional 10 men squad and a HW squad. I will have all the HWteams *3 so i have enough of them (and mortars on the sides 9 or so) which i probably not going to use.
i have troubles fielding them on my shelf so i need to buy more board to fit into my IKEA closet.
also, i bought the LotR movement trays which are VERY practical. Soon, i will have pics...
a lot has happened since i posted my last pics oct 2010...
now im living on my own, have my own man-attic which i need to share with the clotheswashingmachine... but its all warhammer... hmmmmm i like..
soon, pics will follow... damn camera's!

also i want to thank EDF and his gun mod topic so i saw to use knife handles as handles fr guns as shown on the picture.

My PCS commanders. im fielding all pistols and 1 flamer. still have to get a real PCS commander who need to stand out.

and my army as far as i have it at this mment.


i really love my HWteams. they need loads of work though....
