You sir, are an amazing person. That uniform looks great, awesome in fact. That seems appropriate that you're holding the Uplifting Primer.

I'd go for a japanese school uniform if you can get one for the undercoat - I used to have to where one in Japan. It's like the uniform worn by the psycho Kazuo Kiriyama character in Battle Royale: It's very cool. And before anyone asks, no the girls at my school didn't have a "sailor boy" school uniform... but you see it enough, believe me.

You will recieve... *virtual potato chips* nowhere near done, heh, but thanks the eagle on the hat was different to the pic sadly, it was an eagle with two odd looking crowns on its had, and no badge in the center of it, instead it was a big red circle with silver lining. didn't look good the bottom was no red star either, it was a, egg shaped badge with an orange crummy looking five point star only.

See about adding skulls (like the wax purity seal ones shown previously) to the outside of the sleeves. This is how Soviet Commissar were recognised by the Germans durring WWII so they could carry out the Commissar Order. Also, maybe a power sword or the like? And a lot more red! That what makes Comminsars.

GAH! GAHHHH! YOU CUT THE IMPERIAL EAGLE FROM THE CAP! Oh well...AND...the Red Star...# Don't worry! It's the post-95 pattern Russian Militsia Traffic Police Hats! The Capitalist wooden-lakey's hat-wear, but a mirror of American traffic bandit-cops! Save your anger for the shaving of glorious Communist officer eagles!

The progress is still good, pal. However, one small detail struck me as odd. Why would a commissar tote around a primer? They'd have their own Progenum manuals, I would imagine.

i might try and make a nice looking tome prop commissarate style, but for now, its a good geek tool and it means i can remind fellow guardsmen the proper methods of litanies and such. or shoot them for not having their own.

hes some small progress, ive fixed the silver badge onto the hat in a more stable fashion, painted the aquilla, and painted the bottom of the magazine for the bolt pistol, im trying to work out a good location for my purity seal for the gun, yay or nay? it will have a prayer strip beneath it later. i think the bottom of the bolt mag frames the gun nicely

Looks great so far.
I would however, suggest that you get one the rest of that eagle off the hat by pulling the back threads out. Will give it a much cleaner look and feel.
Love the purity seal so far.

i agree, the sad thing is, theres a liner of silk like material, followed by a cotton liner, then a plastic plate, and finally a whole bunch of what i can only describe as tightly packed, cotton or spunwool like 'wadding' padding out the inside of the hat, navigating past all of that mess to get to the back of the hat is rather hard without permanently damaging the hat in several ways :/

Hmmm, Sounds like a tough one there. At least you know the hat will be warm.
How about getting a pair of tweezers and pulling from one direction. As long as you have one side of the thread cut out fully you should be able to pull from one side to remove the back threads.

i caved, since my last post i decided to take a scalpel to the thing and open it up, the stitching came out pretty easy, after i found out that the plastic board was sewn into the hat, and there was a thing layer of foam under the wadding. i tell you what, they made this hat so you couldent take the design off. i wish i knew i could eventually get into it beforehand, while scraping off the stitching on the surface i damaged the fabric of the hat, once the stitching at the back came off, it showed alittle of the damage ive done, ive covered most of it by moving the aquilla up alittle. its gonna bug me though.. i might try adding a black diamond onto the hat, for the aquilla to go over, it would cover the tear in the hat and add more definition to the aquilla.. edit:
