Paint him like a commissar. You know, with the black coat and red trim. While he is a member of the Korps now, it doesn't mean he always has been. Imperial Commissars are schooled in special Imperial institutions. After they finish training they are sent to regiments all throughout the Imperium. Their dress attire is alwys the same. Im fairly certain that the commissar from forge world isn't even a Kreig native. Much like many commissars he is probably an off worlder sent there after he finished schooling. So I would paint him as such.
And I dont know about forge world models, ive never bought one. Sorry.

I agree. They're from off world to oversee the regiments that they're attached to. They also wear the same standard black and red trim attire. All I know for resign models is that you wash 'em well so the paint can actually stick to 'em. So a nice bath in warm soapy water is good. Oh, and that the detail is excellent so make sure your hands aren't shaky! Have fun!

Yeah they do usually run all around the Imperium but I'm guessing that this one was actually born/cloned (based on some DKoK speculation) on Krieg and so even after his schooling he stayed within the Korps for a while. Eventually he did begin traveling across the Imperium and as such ended up with the Meridians. I'm just trying to explain why a commissar would be wearing a gas mask when the people around him arent. I think just making him born to his gas mask as a Kriegsman seems the best idea to me.
Please giving me ideas and such. Its helpful stuff for my thought process's

I just got my DKoK Commissar #2 in the mail yesterday. It comes in 2 pieces. The right arm drawing the sword out of the scabard is seperate from the rest of the body. The bit of sword blade if very thin and flexable, making it easy to break when you remove it from the sprue. Make sure to give is wash and I would recommend pinning the arm and using GS along with some super glue to attach it to the body.

Iight the commissar is in. I washed him for half a day yesterday so im sure he is clean enough to paint. But Im not sure what to use to give him the base coat. All I have is some Krylon Fusion for Plastics in black, and I'm not sure if that works with resin or if I should get something better quality. Anybody know how resin models deal with certain paints differently?
