oh wow, and this is why i wouldn't mind making an ork army to oppose my IG. These guys you produce have kick ass detailing and shading. puts my work to shame, no doubt.

Loving the verdigris effect 3ff3ct Im addicted, its one of those things thats really easy to do and adds so much to a mini. What's next? Well there's the other 2 Koptas and a handful of grots on my painting table at the moment. Im not starting anthing new untill after Ive moved now, as I really need to get everything boxed up ready for the van! |

Cheers dude, I used some of the resin ones from Micro Arts Studio, with a few extra bitz, although I have a large batch of home-made ones that kinda show these ones up They'll be revealed as the project progresses, once I've moved house this weekend! |

The arm holding the KFF button is separate on the model, although I have magnetized it so I can eventually convert a few weapons options for him. I quite fancy giving him a combi-skorcha or something similar at some point, although I'd have to get a box of Nobz to do that....
Colours wise, I like the idea of several bands of orks joining together as the clan/tribe gathers momentum and gets involved with more fights, as an ork Waaagh does. As a result, I figured that all kinds of orky habits would be prevalent in a warband like that; looting, driving fast, loadsa dakka. So I didn't want to paint anything too specific in regard to ork tribes/clans.
Grot: Erm, Boss? Why iz we paintin' everyfink black an' yeller?
Mek: Cuz I told ya too! >bashes grot on head with spanner<
Grot: Ok Ok, but why?
Mek: Cuz dem humies put black and yeller bitz on fings dat are ded 'urty, like choppy bitz an' that. And one fing we certainly iz, iz.....
Grot: Ded 'urty?

Yeah, gotta agree painting Orks, that's a pretty fun thing to do. The models are quite nice and detailed these days and have a lot of rough charm to bring out.

Ive really fallen for the orks after doing a few, and Im really looking forward to doing a few conversions! on a side note, if there's anyone who doesn't want to paint any AOBR Orks, I'm open for donations |
