I don't have a CCS as my Captain is a Primaris Psyker, so she joins a PCS instead. That one has a heavy flamer, a medic and two soldiers with pistols and chainswords. And they have a Chimera. I mainly use them as a heavy flamer-carrier and to assault stuff, although I've considered making them a jump-out-and-blow-away squad with the addition of two plasma guns.

Have been finding pace, 2 plasma guns, 2 melta guns, plasma pistol and power sword has been working quite well for me lately.
I don't usually mix weapons like that, but as they sit in a chimera, issuing orders for the 1st 2 turns before targeting an incoming enemy unit it has worked out quite well, and can take on most things, even hordes as the chimera has a heavy flamer on the front.
They do have to get out if they want to use orders (on them selves), but that is pretty much only ever 'fire on my coordinates', so anything they shoot at should be pretty dead by then.
Have had to not fire the plasma once as wanted to charge, but one was already dead from over heats by then, so didn't make too much difference.
I would like to try upgrading to a power fist tho.

regimental standard, medic, vox, power weapon and plasma pistol for my commander and then usually a plasma gun for my remaining veteran.then i give them all carapace armour for the extra 20pts.its a good combination that has served me well on most occassions.

my standard company command squad:
lascannon grenade launcher x2 cammo cloaks (100 pts)
master of ordnance (sometimes with bigger points) (130 pts) i usualy leave them stationary in some sort of terrain that grants them a cover save of 3+ with the cloaks.

I would like to try upgrading to a power fist tho. in pg 29 of the IG codex, it says that you can't issue orders while enbarked in a transport, i looked in the IG FAQ's and can't find anything suggeting otherwise, am i missing something? i found out that counter charged units don't get furious charge and that units being counter charged cannot use grenades to negate the bonus +1 attack on counter charge(with straken) the other day, i wasn't too sad about the rule, but the query happens to be in the space wolf FAQs, so where is this able to issue orders while in transport that i missed? Oh, and right now I run straken, regimental standard, medic, melta, vox, bodyguards, cloak in the CC; not using straken I go plasma pistol on the CO, 3 plasma, medic, cloak, carapace.

Macknight look at the entry for Chimera. Under the command vehicle rule you are allowed to issue orders from the Chimera or any vehicle with the command vehicle rule.

Yup, is in the chimera entry. There was a whole bunch of confusion with a SW FAQ that came out a while ago that gave charging bonuses and all sorts to units with counter attack. thankfully they realised that was a huge change to game play and wouldnt only affect the SWs so was hastily withdrawn

I use Creed & Kell because I love their rules, a vox, 2 GL's, an Astropath and a Master of the Fleet............ only got to use it once but I never failed an order and my Scouting Demolisher (thank you Creed) came in on the same side as Al'Rahem did and I never saw my buddies Termies because they never ever landed

I also use a Creed/Kell Company Command. I don't really give them anything else though, scince I tend to hide this now expensive unit somewhere that it 1) can't be shot 2) can issue order to my key units (24" is very helpful in that regard) and 3) is still close enough to have kell mix it up if with that nifty standard if needs be.

I have A senior officer with a power sword, plasma, medic, regimental standard, two bodyguards, vox, master of ordinance, naval officer.
Maybe is useless, but it looks cool on the table.

Very lucky if I spend more than the standard 50pts on my CCS with a 30pt astropath. With the low model count I keep them out of LOS and use it just for orders. Major investment is required to make the unit tougher but for 80pts you have both a diversion and a means to get stuff on the table quicker.

If I need to stay cheap, Lasscannon + Standart (85 points)
If I need som AP2, 3 Plasma + Medic + Chimera (180 points)

For every army is different, but my opinion is... Only order giver with some sort support (no fire support). Everytime when i take fire support HQ, they go to grave very quick. My personel choice is regimental standart and radio (for fluff).

4 plasma guns. Just take the over heat. Just guardsmen who die. The targeted squad is probably worth more that that one guardsmen who dies.
If I can target a vehicle or MC that they get the order bring it down, that way I get even more killiness

Play krieg my my commander Major 259 leads his men from the front. for his command squad I take:- Regimental standard bearer with lasrife plasma gunner Guardsman with las rifle Guardsman with vox
very much in the theme of rallying to the standard when that charge goes horribly, horribly wrong!!!!!!!!!

well mine is the generic anti-meq tank mounted ccs, lots of melta, and a little bit extra for when they ever *need* to disembark. can't recall the exact line-up right now, but will get to it.

I am building a new command squad which I intend to use with my first CCS, both of them have the Master of ordinance. The second squad will be equipped with 4 snipers, master and a senior officer with a bolter. It is a shame I cannot give the sniper to a senior officer. My idea was to create them as a recon/FO team.

Necromany is frowned upon... But if we've restarted the thread then going be Kras' advice I run a powesword, carapace/camo cloaks, (either/or) standard, vox and 2x meltaguns. In Apoc I give the officer a bolt pistol adn add in Nork for fun!
