wow i love the double pistols but you should make a wire leading to a back back so its like hotshot laspistols Or stick with Catachan style laspistols for everbody else.

Hi marbo and Ymmot, Yeah, I don't like the power cord look. I play paintball, and used to run my gun with a remote line set up to the compressed air tank; I can attest that moving through thick growth with a cable running from one's gun to a pack on your back makes for much aggravation with the cable getting snagged on stuff. Therefore the hellgun/pistols in my army use hotshot energy clips instead of back-mounted generators. At the suggestion of the conversion fanatic staff member at GW Springfield, Criid's hellpistols are going to be ivory handled. Oh yeah, and my Catachan officer with powerfist arrived today, so I'll be nicking the powerfist and sticking it on Sergeant Major Swanson soon!

Okay here are some photos of recent work... The photos were a bit rushed because a thunderstorm was moving into my neighborhood when I went outside to snap them. Catachan Master of Ordnance: Converted Catachan Regimental Standard Bearer for my 13th Catachan Infantry Regiment, "The Red Devils": And some of my "adult themed" Imperial Guard objective markers: I hope that y'all enjoy! ;D

Dude, you gotta branch out from blondes. Women come in all colors, shapes and sizes. Well done, I really like the paint job. I especially like the Master of Ordnance. He is very Catachan, but still gives off that top brass vibe.

He is very Catachan, but still gives off that top brass vibe. Thanks, Dedrier! I'm pleased with how the MoO turned out. He's actually a repaint. When I first painted him, I was still using chestnut ink and drybrushing for skin. I wasn't entirely pleased with the effect, compared to some of my more recent work, so I went back and re-did the skin with Ogryn flesh was and layered highlighting. I also added the shoulder pads because he'll be going into a carapace armored company HQ squad. I'd considered doing hair colors other than blonde for the objective minis, but the texture of the hair on those female minis is so detailed, I wanted to show it off--that plus I have a blonde female friend who likes to claim "blondes do it better!" so I went with that choice... My female Catachan trooper minis (converted Rocket Girls and several of the limited edition female Catachan grenade launchers) do have a variety of hair colors.

Dedrier, I'll have to get them out of my collection and take some pics of them at some point. Thanks, robertm! Yeah it took a while to convert that standard, and paint it. However, I'm not entirely pleased with it. In the photos it is apparent that I should have done some more layering of the rotting flesh color on the cloth--it's a bit patchy. I may have to go back and do some more work on it...

Well painted, but I'm reminded once again that the sculptors at GW don't know what a woman looks like.
It also amuses me that the clothes look like SoB tabbards...

I think that one of the Asbrubel Vect kit's slave girls is actually a captured Battle Sister--the reclining one on the left. Behind her back she is holding a jagged sharp thing which she looks ready to stab someone with. I finished my counts as Kell conversion today. Took me a couple of attempts to get the powerfist arm to my liking. I'll try to get pics of him up in the next couple of days, along with the rest of the command squad.

Thanks! I meant to take some WIP pictures of Creed and Kell today, because I got the conversion for Kell finished last night, but I got distracted. Hopefully I'll be able to take some pics tomorrow...

Okay, here are some more WIP shots of counts as Creed and Kell, along with their command squad and advisors in carapace armor... General Bear F. Criid and Sergeant Major Swanson: Lascannon Team: I noticed after I took the pic that I forgot to drill the barrel on the cannon, this has been fixed... Doc Sawbones: "I'm gonna jab you in the butt with this thing!" Fleet Officer: How should I paint the Fleet Officer? I'm thinking khaki for his uniform, but should I do Catachan green or Regal blue for his carapace armor? Bodyguards:

Regal blue, otherwise your advisor will not stand out enough.
The models look great, you are able to make your characters but still give off the Catachan vibe.

Awesome models. Where do you get the shoulder pads. Thanks! The shoulder pads come from two sources. For the body guards, weapon team, and medic I used Cadian arm shoulder pads, with the arms cut off and the shoulder pads filed down to fit the Catachan arms. For Criid, Swanson, and the Fleet Officer I used the shoulder pads that come with the Baneblade kit.

Thanks, Daemon Doctor, I'll try to keep up my standards. ReWolf: The torso and legs of the Fleet Officer are actually those of a Valkyrie door gunner. The resident conversion fanatic staff member of my local GW (Springfield) suggested the idea to me. We both thought that the stock, metal Fleet Officer is a bit too aristocratic looking to be seen in the company of Catachans... If you look at the stock Officer's face he actually looks like Senator Palpatine from Star Wars--prior to reflected Force Lightning induced crispiness.
