Thanks, judcottrell! I'd been wanting to do Tau for a long time, but the derpiness of the XV-8 kit had dissuaded me. They certainly paint much differently from any other 40K army I've collected.
Depending on what the weather is doing later I may or may not have pics of the jetbike repaint.

Okay here are some Saim-Hann WIPs... First, the crap red that has stalled my work on the army for over a decade on a Wild Rider jetbike: Now, a repainted shuriken cannon jetbike Wild Rider done using the new red scheme for Saim-Hann armor: Overall I'm pleased with how it has turned out. I still need to do the Wild Rider clan stripe design, and there's a doo-dad that needs to be added to the back of the jetbike behind the rider, but I need to get the part ready.

Okay, here are the Wraithlord (Waiflord) and Wraithguard (Waifguard) I got painted overnight. The Lord has its right fist and left shoulder mount magnetized: With shuriken catapult, flamer, scatter laser, shuriken cannon on left shoulder hardpoint, and two beaty fists-- With Eldar missile launcher on left shoulder hardpoint--
With brightlance on left shoulder hardpoint-- With starcannon on left shoulder hardpoint-- With ghostglaive and left shoulder hardpoint empty-- Right side shot-- Left side shot-- From the rear-- The Wraithguard is one of the old metal ones:

And here's the WIP of my Falcon re-paint. I got this kit when it was first released (rumor has it the cargo ship with the initial shipment from the UK to 'Murica sank somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic, so we Colony types didn't get the kit on time). I had painted it nicely, but with the old paints it was "too orange" (like Snooki from "The Jersey Sore"), so back in '05 I tried to repaint it with Red Gore or somesuch, and it was awful. I'm having a go with the new Citadel paints, and am quite chuffed with how it's turning out so far. This photo was taken after the second layer of red was put down (Mephy Red (base) -> Carroburg Crimson (wash) -> Mephy Red (layer 1) -> Evil Sunz Scarlet (layer 2)), and next up will be edge highlighting with Wild Rider Red (really is orange), and then extreme highlights with Bestigor Flesh; followed by highlighting the black areas (Skavenblight Dinge followed by Longbeard Grey on areas where the dry compound can be used to edge highlight). Finally I will be re-applying those decals I had to paint over.

Okay, some more visual testimony to the *Jeremy Clarkson voice* " amazing magical powers of magnets": "Come at me bro!" (Notice the illegal weapon configuration?) These are all the same mini. I magnetized the right wrist and left shoulder/arm so the weapons can be swapped out. After taking these photos, inspiration struck and I popped the right arm off, magnetized that shoulder and then magnetized the melee arm, as well as an arm set for a D-scythe, so I can swap the model from ghostswords, to ghost axe and shield, or D-scythe. Sadly my camera's last memory card is out of space, so I can't take photos, but once I get more SD cards I will snap some shots. Fun little kit! Four more to build...

Get the scuba gear! With GWs price rises, that shipment of plastic crack will be worth a fortune! These are looking brilliant mate, you've surpasses yourself with your painting (again!) and magnetising the Wraithswords (is that what they are? They're cool as hell anyway!) was a stroke of genius!

Indeed it would be worth a fortune. And thanks, 3ff3ct! Yeah, originally I had the Wraithlord as a monobuild with the Wraithsword as a permanent part, but I had built it back before I was proficient with magnets, so when I unboxed it I decided to break it apart and go to town with what I've learned about magnets since. Looking at the plastic Wraithguard kit, it just seemed logical to extend the lessons to it with the Ghostswords and Ghostaxe/shield, and then I got even more inspired to D-scythe it as well, and it ended up working really well.

Those Plastic Waifguard look like really good little kits. Yet again more amazing stuff, Trooper Thanks, Cosmic! They really are a neat kit. Almost makes me regret already having 10 of the old metal Waifguard. Lots of fun to build, especially when you harness the *Jeremy Clarkson voice* "amazing magical powers of magnets." I've got a friend here Stateside from my gaming club who is going to embark on doing the same thing after seeing my prototype. I encourage anyone who wants to have a go to do so!

Wraithseer is AMAZEMENT!
Any chance of a group Eldar shot? I bet they look great together.
I'm excited to see the monstrosity above all painted up. It'll look very cool in your scheme, and I'm certain some of your nice crispy makings will show off it's curves nicely. Mrooow!

I'll have to try and arrange all of my Eldar stuff at some point. Thing is, though, that right now the majority of it is only primed... I did dig out my Revenant titan last night, which I've had since '05 or so but never got past priming, and broke its legs apart to repose them more dynamically. I also ordered a 200 mm blank base from Dragon Forge to mount it on. Right now they're running a backlog on orders, but once the base arrives I'll pin the Reventant to it, and will have even more awesome Sphess Elfery to display.

Why, whatever could this be? I've had it for around 8 years if memory serves, and only now feel confident enough to attempt painting it.

I would say it is the head of an Eldar Titan of some sort.

I would say it is the head of an Eldar Titan of some sort. its the head of a revenant but im going to hazard a gues and say sonic lances? Yes it's a Revenant's head, but it is kitted with Pulsars. I got it years and years ago. Got as far as building sub-assemblies and priming it. But due to my inability to achieve a red that I found pleasing with the old paints I didn't get any further on working on it, and it sat around for years. Then it spent close to four years sitting in a box after I moved. Now that the new paints have allowed me to finally achieve a pleasing red, I've decided it's time to work on it. I re-posed its legs the other night into a more dynamic running pose, as previously I had it standing in a static position, and also ordered a 200 mm diameter blank resin base from Dragon Forge to mount it on. Dragon Forge is running a backlog right now, so I won't be getting the base for a while. That should give me time to figure out how I'm going to achieve the connection: right now I'm flopping back and forth between running pins through the bottom of the base and into a foot, or using a screw. I may or may not have to go in and reinforce the connection between the foot and the ankle as well...

Ahh I love dragonforge but the wait times are very long at the moment which is sad he needs to hire another person to help or at,east but another pressure vacuum my thing

Yeah, I saw that he's currently running a month backlog or so on orders. However, since the Revenant has been sitting around for eight or so years, I don't think another month or so before it can be attached to a base will kill it.

Should have made one out of MDF. The Warhound got one of those, it cost next to nothing for the wood and it was shaped for free by a friend with wood tools. I imagine resin will be easier to work with though!

Yeah, I had looked around at wooden bases and didn't see any that I liked. And I don't have wood-working tools (or the skill to use them without accidentally removing parts of my anatomy) so making one myself is out of the question. The blank base will be nice, though, because I will be able to populate it with my own bits of decoration...
