Most excellent, Cosmic! The canopy can be a bit fiddly, but it looks like you did a spiffing job with it.

Well in those pictures the Landing Gear, Sensors and weapons aren't finished. I've recently done the Landing Gear but I still have the other things to do

Sorry lads, I've cocked it up already! The primer went horribly wrong and as such the paint has now gone bad too! I'll be stripping it tomorrow again and then started all over!

Did you forget to scrub a Forgeworld model, Cosmic? lol

Post by Cosmic on Apr 25, 2012 15:15:13 GMT -5
Nope I gave it a thorough scrubbing! I was just impatient and started painting before the Primer had completely dried, as such it's very glossy and just looks awful! I'll get some nail varnish remover tomorrow and start again!

When at first you don't succeed........ Strip the paint of and try again. Now judging by your track record, i'm just gonna give the comment now and watch the pics later Excellent stuff cosmic!!!

Haha don't say that just yet or you'll curse me! The techpriest has been ruined by lack of concentration caused by tiredness. I was rushing, used the wrong primer, applied it too thickly and as such lost loads of the detail. I then rushed into the painting and it's now sitting on my desk laughing in my face But not for long! *points to the sky triumphantly*

the best thing about making mistakes is you are unlikely to make them again... learn / adapt/ conquer

Yup, exactly My only worry is that the servo-arms are VERY flimsy an I've already broken one in half. I don't know who they'll hold up in being stripped. It's going to be tense.

Are you gonna brush it? If so lay it flat on a surface, gently brush with a toothbrush, then turn around and repeat. If You're going to hold it and brush they will break for sure.
