Any color is fine, but they all have to be the same if they're from the same tombworld.

Any color is fine, but they all have to be the same if they're from the same tombworld. Problem is obviously going to be that there won't be enough rods to give an entire squad from one box the same colour and you will end up having to find other necron player.

I want all my necrons to have big purple rods. That sound suspiciously like what FKM would say...

I would like to see some more variety in 'crons I bought some warriors and they are all the same no difference what so ever, just giving them some different stances would be better

With the necrons, they have no sense of individualism, so their lack of poses is, in a weird way, a good fluff to model translation... However, I have seen some awesome conversions.

But being in a firing pose or standing straight or crouching down wouldn't effect their non individual state but merely adding a bit more variety and a more dynamic feel.

Like I said, there are some brilliant conversions floating around...

If "Fall of Damnos" is a preview of the new Necron fluff, well, Ward will be committing his biggest abortion/rape/murder of fluff in the 40K universe ever. I may not even bother with unpacking my Necrons from the moving box that there are currently sitting in...

Turn "Tomb Lord" into a rapper name.

I may not even bother with unpacking my Necrons from the moving box that there are currently sitting in... I just read the excerpt. What was so bad about that? I mean, other than being kinda weird, I didn't see that much wrong with it. Or were you referring to the entire book?

Don't say that! Matt Ward may see and think "that lemon kings got the right idea there, where's my note book?"

BT codex will have character that will make draigo look like school girl. (yes it is actual rumor)
after 8 years did you really expect them to NOT change the fluff?

House crushing you say?
*Crushes all the houses in the world*
Maybe I went too far...
Anyway, I think that you will get enough rods to make the whole squad the same colour, or the necrons may as well stick "pace" on their banners. I also don't have a problem with individualistic necrons, the lords have always been that way anyway, correct? The same with the special characters, depending on how they do it.

Trickstick, how is far? I mean, you went to it, right? Or did you mean that you went TOO far? I liked the half Pariah from Dawn of War Dark Crusade. It gave the Necrons a persona, more or less.

Havoc and Syphon: the book had Necrons that talk, plot against one another, and have personalities... Gone are the days of utterly silent killing machine constructs, where only the Lords had even the slightest glimmer of their memories and personality from their lives before they became machines. There was other stuff in the book that made me nerd rage, but it makes me too angry to even talk about it, so I won't. But yeah, it looks like Wardism has been inflicted upon the 'Crons...

Talking Necrons aren't necessarily anti-fluff. I mean, some of them might have some memories yet...or am I going to get exploderated now?
