Why does it need a pilot though? Why do any Cron vehicles need one? Ignoring AI (like the Tomb Spider), can't they just stuff a soul in their vehicles? Reds Because Necrons love breakdancing. Very well. Carry on. Reds

Reds Because it is described as being piloted by a Triarch Praetorian in the codex... <.< >.> With the Warding of their fluff, all Necron vehicles now have pilots--even the Monolith, although the are inside and you can't see them.

Which would appear imply that the Imperium has slightly better AI technology. HERP DERP

Machine spirits are like the VIs in Mass Effect.
AI is forbidden. Just like Dune.
Hrm...

AI might have been a poor choice of words on my part. The intelligence in Crons, as far as I know, is mostly, well, not human per say, but Necrontyr, and was once an organic being. My questions was, when you've given up being organic, why not simply embrace the possibilities that a true machine form allows you, and recreate yourself into, say a giant walking death spider. Reds

Because giant walking death spiders make excellent targets for heavy weapons?

Because giant walking death spiders make excellent targets for heavy weapons? So would you rather have it be smart enough to learn how to take cover and try to avoid incoming fire, or would you rather put an exposed pilot on it that cripples the entire machine if killed? Reds

The battleforce is actually fairly good. Yeah, it actually is quite less expensive than what one would have to buy as individual boxes to get the same number of Warriors and Scarab swarms in addition to the Immortals and Ark.

Tomb Blades & Triarch Stalker look stupid. Canoptek Spyder & Wraiths look nice. SP look ok I guess, Failcast though.
