The only reason it messed up Apoc PDFs was because people were not playing within the spirit of the game. If you treat Apocalypse like a tournament game then frankly you don't deserve to play Apocalypse. I agree. I thought it was rather simple to work out how to use the new codex with the data sheets.

The glowy door of doom!
I actually don't have a problem, if those were the Monolith's rules in the Dex as the damn thing is supposed to be cheese.
What would be fun: during a campaign (or apoc battle or campaign of apoc battles) you keep a count of what models were sucked through, and then you play a battle where they all fly out of an exit, at the centre of the tomb world!

More rumors that make me sad. I think I'm numb to Ward's stupidity now. Someone hit me with a logichammer.

Great, another "No Saves Aloud" attack. I have no problem with it personally, its a Str Test and Guard will make it half the time if you are dumb enough to get your guardsmen that close. I just can't wait for my friend to start bitching about "Yet another over powered type of attack". Does anyone else have an issue with things like the DE Hex Rifle. Or Inquisitor Vlaria's Maze? I know I don't.

Woo hoo, new rumors. Good times.
The new Necron codex is going to be sweet.
Oh wait, it is something new and this is the internet.
I HATE IT, IT's GOING TO BE TERRIBLE, WARHAMMER IS RUINED FOREVER!!!!!
WHAHAAA!!!!!!
I saw Mat Ward kick a puppy right in the face, sure it was already dead...he's also the one that killed it. Mat Ward killed a puppy. Mat Ward hates your family...at least that's what he told me after he killed that puppy...he said he hates your family and it's all your fault. Everything is your fault.

I saw Mat Ward use chemical weapons on cambodians.
I also heard he high fived Hitler...but that one really is just a rumor.

Looking forward to the new Dex, I haven't played my Necrons in years up till two weeks ago against a 1850 Battlewagon heavy list.
I somehow won that game.

The endtimes are near, the world will burn, the seas will boil, rick astley will make a comeback!
*adds recommended salt and sanity coloured glasses*
Nope it ain't so bad. A house rule hear, an assasination of Ward their, it is all cool.

The endtimes are near, the world will burn, the seas will boil, rick astley will make a comeback! You've been rickrolled?I don't know how to feel about what I've been reading. I'm definitely opposed to the idea of named characters for the necrons, though...

Hang on a feking second. I just read through the rule book... not one mention of Ctan, not in the Necron race page, not in the stats section. I didn't even find one picture of a Ctan and they were some fairly juicy models.
So GW left open the possibility of killing off the Ctan.

New Necron codex sounds like it's completely stupid, and will ruin all the fun of 40k if any of these rumors are true. Just sayin'.
I thought new Codices were meant to bring them up on balance with other armies. The people at GW are making them like a contest. "Let's see who can make the most powerful codex!"

I'm holding out on judgement until i actually see this thing. So far it does seem like a complete rework, but i honestly think necrons really needed that. Also, some of the codex do have some over the top things, but the good ol' Imperial Guard is still one of the best ones out there, even with being one of the earlier 5th edition releases.

Agreed, I think each army needs something crazy about it otherwise it wont have the desirability factor. No-one picks an army because its a safe bet, good-all-round army, do they? No, we like millions of blokes with crappy guns And I'm sure that the new 'Crons won't be melta-proof. At least I hope not.

I don't think it'll be a bad thing, I just think that 40k is missing the 'flavor' and anticipation of releases that it used to have. Now its just systematic reboots but I preferred the kind of universal reboots that campaigns such as the eye of terror and armageddon unleashed
