Just a quick "Proof of Life" comment. The Cerberus project is still live and kicking - even if they are low-kicks. My current assignment is taking alot of my time, aswell as the fact, that my kitchen needed an emergency renovation - The floor and bottom wall was sh*t. well enough with the tears and violins! As to the progress of the Cerberus - most of the molds needed to be remastered - too many bubbles and miscasts to make it viable - I did a few trial runs, and ended spending almost two hours cleaning, preping and repairing the model with green stuff - That, to me is not acceptable. The main hull is now split into an Engine section and a top/front piece. Did some tweaks on the main gun - mainly simplifying the mold so that it is cannon barrel and separate muzzles. The track mold will also be tweaked to avoid bubbles and airholes in the link details. I still don't know what to do with the secondary weapon systems - I may have to scrathbuild them as it would be to much hassle to get them from bits-services. AshotNINJA : So how did that Apoc game go? You promised pictures!  |

Treadz, I've been following your progress and I must say that I'm impressed! I've tried to do what you've done and failed. I would really like to buy a copy (even if it looks like an Abrams :-P)! If you're willing to sell any that is! Darn, I could take one with bad casting, that's how much I like your work!
And not to forget, Ashot your work is splendid as usual!

You promised pictures! fantastic work mate... really dig the barrels , especially the vanquisher one... nice fresh design over the standard gw looking ones.. and that punisher cannon looks great too..good find on the gijoe toy.. i can understand the slow progress... work has me travelling all over the country fitting graphics and ive hardly had time to hobby at all the last month..thankfully because of this, i have dodged having to do my home stuff... at some point i gotta lay some laminate flooring down and finish the diy crap i started back when my missus moved in...shhhhh she seems to have forgotten. i did promise pictures of the appoc game... but me being me i forgot my camera... thankfully the other guys did take some photos so il grab em off facebook and put them up at some point... although im not in a rush to show you the EDF mostly on fire, smoking smouldering craters where my troops tried to complete the beach landing and even with a massive blood angel army for support, were mowed down in a storm of gunfire and artillery from the saftly of the bunker system... even the reaver titan with 2 warhounds in support were destryed extreamly fast... we will be redoing the mission considering the imperial attacking force was 2 men light on the day... hence why we were about 8-9k down... fun still beut rethinking tactics for the next time. so i cant provide the appoc game pics just yet... but how about some of my stuff i havent shown you guys yet? i have forgotten my creed stand in for quite a while... so here he is  i have had many people ask to see my nork deddog stand (JUGGANORK!) in in closer up pictures, so heres a better set of shots of him  next up is my taurox prime conversion, i call it the buffalo prime... let me know what you think of it now its got some paint on.    next up is an unusual one... i love mass effect... and ive been trying to put the xenos races of mass effect into my army... i found this guy in the deadzone store and thought HANAR! so hes become my astropath.  next up is my minotor superheavy stand in... i have a second on ready to be constructed now for a future game.   second to last is one of my custom vehicles i made up for use at the dday appocalypse game... i call it the crocodile. F-14 S-13 R-12 BS3 / hp 7 / 30 troop capacity / opentopped / amphibious / fast (water) weapons / 1 twin linked autocannon / 2 heavy stubbers / 15 fire points    unsiprisingly it got destroyed first turn and disgorged my main command section with ogryn support into the water 6 inches from the shore... lastly is the ship i was using for the appoc game aswell... we counted theis as a heavily fortified building to save to much bother and it sat out in the water blowing chunks out of the coastline defenses without taking a shot all game.   well i hope that has appesed you lot for a while... im kinda rubbish at updating my plog, which has been made worse because i have also taken on a few commissions and i am building up my necron force to use in future appoc games if they pop up... maybe il show you lot them one day. |

AshotNINJA : Uhm...wow, just WOW!! That is one B[censored]S looking Minotaur - I've allways wanted to build a m109 Paladin - now I now what to do!! I've allways found it somewhat difficult to incorporate xenos into an Imperial Army - But you've found a cool and elegant way in! I really like that Nork model - I want to add some Ogryns to my army, and I'm really exceited to see what Steve, from Mad Robot Miniatures, comes up with. Alternately I've pondered about making some sort of Shield Mecha/Android inspired by the Borderlands 2 game. Cerberus update: The recent remolding came out much better - Hopefully I can finish the rest by this week and then start casting like mad! I've even found a great and simple online store site - so if people want to buy - it can be done outside this and other forums (Keep those forum owners hands clean!) danesk: You, aswell as others, are most welcome to buy my model - keep an eye out - we are getting close!

Brilliant pictures, Ashot. The Nothos Corvette and the Buffalo are very inspiring.
What kit did you use for the Nothos, or was it scratch built?
Did you manage to finish painting your ED209 style superheavy walker?

been hyped up all day to paint the prototype of my advanced nightfighting guard model and here it is....  time to make a whole squad of them and a chimera wheeled transport to accompany them  Really love this guy! Just screams black ops! All through the force the subtle conversions really add to the individuality! |

Getting really close now!  I ran out of resin, hence the amber/white colour - I'm still strugling with some odd bubbles here and there, but for a skilled modeller, they should pose no trouble. The model will be sold with both the Battlecannon and Vanquisher muzzle - And also a choice between two different optics for the commander periscope. I cant seem to get a perfect 100% cast, of the rear tail-light and powerbox, on the track sections - So I'm thinking of making an addon plate with the light and box, for people to use. IF any of you outthere are interested in getting the model, please PM me and we can take it in private. Sheepz/MODs: I have NO intentions of getting this forum in trouble - If I voilate any rules by this post, please correct me! AshotNINJA : PM sent, offer still stands - Radiocheck over! |

No pics on this update... just wanted to say that I'm still alive and still hobbying. . I'm currently got 2 cerberus tanks on my desk being painted...as well as reworking my long overdue taros warthogs (page 1) .. warzone commissions finished and about to do a Warmachine commission that I'm not to into but I'm doing cos he's a mate...
And as usual I've been using most of my spare time sorting out my latest necro campaign .. making terrain and special charachters as well as 4 gangs... I will be putting it all up soon...
Also working on many superheavy proxies.. malcador infernus, baneblade abrams, preator missile tank and another twin barrelled monitor. ..
Also if anyone's interstellar ill be selling my 2 standard russes (fully magnetised ) and forgeworld destroyer tank hunter if anyone's interested. .. cheap of course... drop me a price and give me an offer... its a rare chance to get one of my models... I'm kinda a horder at heart when it comes to my models but I love the cerberus so much I want space for more.

AshotNINJA and everyone else... I've enjoyed this thread very much, and will keep doing so as it gets updated. However... I have begun building an A2 version of the Cerberus, and decided it deserved a thread of its own - check it out in painting and conversions. Thanks for the "hospitality"

remember me? i used to hang out here, build and paint models and sometimes even show off things i have done using photos and words... those were the days... dont get much time to hobby these days, not with the reality of adult life... oh im not married or anything, just overworked and underpaid. but something happened... abeit very slowly. tanks.    so heres the story... as you all already know, treadheadz designed and produced a fantastic kit and sent me 2 of them to paint up and show off, one was to stay standard in generic colours and markings, the second i was told to go crazy and include it to the ranks of the EDF. I really cant thank Ivan enough for his generocity and have it known i will repay his kindness in the future somehow (i know how) and once he sorts out the A2 version of the Cerberous i would like to buy a full unit of them. Now for my favourite... my Paskunisher. AKA Hardcore C22      |

Ooooh, totally worth the wait!! Love the paint and weathering on the 813 - very Tiger! The A2 is coming along nicely, albeit slowly - The turret is done, just need to sort out the rear bustle rack, main gun and huge-ammo-storage-and-feed for the Punisher version - I've got some hobby time today and most off tomorrow, so I reckon the turret will be complete by the weekend - Track sections are done - Hull is still unworked, but I know exactly how to do it, and all the parts are ready. Again - AWESOME work!!  |
