Thanks guys! The reason why I asked is because this is the first army that I actually care about how they look. The other I painted to about TT quality and I'm trying to make this army look really good. I'll give it a whirl later today and post some pictures tomorrow

That's fair enough If you want this army to look good then I really do recommend highlighting properly. Look forward to seeing pics soon.

So heres my attempt at highlighting with a lighter grey. I like the way that it turned out. Up next is to rehighlight my other Russ, then finish my chimera. C&C is welcome as always!

Voila! He's got it! Get a bit of wash on the metal and it's good to go! And you can always try weathering later

Badab black woll probably do the trick, IMHO ogryn flesh might change some colours, and not in a good way. Plus that BB makes metal colours shine less, Good work on the highlights! Looking forward to see it with the wash and perhaps some weathering!

Good highlighting, a wash would take it up another notch too! As its grey I would suggest badab black too, a touch of devlan mud might also work if you wanted a slightly more weathered look.

Update! So I found and bought an armored sentinel online for a steal: $8! Great right? Almost too good to be true. And it was. I came home from school the other day and found this in my mailbox... The package was ripped open, and the sentinel gone, lost and only the Emperor knows where. Just my luck :/ Now I have to go to the post office and file for insurance and what not. I guess I'll just mark this one up as lost in the warp.

So school has been kicking my ass this week but I did manage to get some stuff done. I managed to finish my first squad's chimera, named Shrapnel, seeing because every time it gets destroyed it kills at least half of the squad :/ anyways, here it is: and with 1st Squad: C&C is always welcome!

i love the orange man you do it so well, they suppost to be penal legion? what's the reason behind the orange?

Thanks! They aren't penal legion, they are actually veterans.
The basic story for the orange armor is that the planet where the regiment comes from, Tolka, is a volcanic forgeworld, so in order to remember their homeworld, the infantry wears orange armor to mimic the magma that the cities were build on top of.

Thanks Its actually a funny story. First game, my paskquisher got smacked and destroyed before it had a chance to shoot, and my friend called it harmless. Next game, it destroyed his Land Raider in the first turn. He then looks over at me and says, "Well, its Relatively Harmless."

I find my Pask Vanquisher either does really well, or quite poorly, often in the same game. It has a habit of missing with both the Vanquisher Cannon and the lascannon in the same turn. Hence why I christened mine "Donkey Punch"...

Very nice! I would personally be tempted to dirty it up a bit... Although I can't complain about the quality of what you've done, its lovely and smooth!
