My first Battle Sisters Squad is complete.



Five down, thirty three(ish) to go.

Continuing my tradition of using non-GW models for things I've got three more things done, an Inquisitor, a Cannoness/Priest with eviscerator and one of a group of Death Cult Assassins painted up. (I've got another squad of sisters painted, but they are the same as the ones above, and thus not interesting.)

The Death Cult Assassin is from the Daughters of the Flame set from Warmachine, and the Priest is a Warmachine model too. The Protectorate of Menoth default colour scheme is the same as what I'm aiming for for my sisters, which is also nice.

Those look amazing; the priestess with the eviscerator is a great model. They have intricate armour with all those patterns.

The models themselves are great, and the edging is relatively easy because of the way it juts away from the rest of the model, less smudging on places where you don't want it. I like the Daughters a lot better than the GW Death Cultists too.

It looks like an interesting model but the pictures are a bit blurry and purple; can't see your paint that much.

If you shine some light at them the pictures should improve, so either put the flash on or leave it off and shine a desklamp at them.

What was it like to assemble; did the resin feel like good quality?

I'll try to take some better pictures when I get home. Phone camera is kind of hit and miss. The assembly was fine, but there was a not insignificant amount of flash. The resin seemed fine though.

Better picture achieved. I don't know why, but I was getting blue overlay on my camera for a bit. Seems gone now.

That's a lot better. It's a quality model; the bright armour really makes her stand out.

Apparently I haven't done any painting in almost two years. Luckily 8th has helped get me going again. Here are my latest three Sisters:

I would do a very light drybrush with white or grey on the dark helmet part of the inquisitor to bring out some of the details.
