Well a fusion turret is not codex legal but Forge World used to make one that looked similar, rules are floating around online

yup, I ordered it this morning  most of it is the same, it is essentially the old codex, with the new units added, and new formations. you don't technically need this one, you can get the new unit rules elsewhere. I ordered it though, handy to have it all in the same place. |

The commander looks good. Are all the bitz from the new Fire Warrior kit?
Also are you allowed to put the Ghostkeel guns on that Devilfish or counting it as something else?
A lot of battlesuits in your Farsight army, by the way. The new stormsurge looks great; like all those missiles. So many missiles...

hi, the Fireblade is mostly the proper fireblade kit, with the arms replaced with pathfinder arms, then I cut the carbine short and put the pulse rifle in its' place. her head is from the ghostkeel pilot. the bits round the waist are from pathfinders.
the alternate hammerhead turret is forge world legal, they made a fusion cannon turret previously but it is no longer in production. I think the fusion collider on the ghostkeel is a pretty poor option, but the gun itself looks amazing and the magazine rotates like a revolver, I had to use them on something. would be a waste otherwise.
thanks, there are many more to come. I have ordered nine of the new crisis suits and three new plastic commanders.

Looking good, Kirsten, although I think the Fireblade could benefit from a wash to make the panel lines on her armor and pulser pop a bit.

Jeez, you're almost as bad as me with marines this year. I got so much don't know if I can get all this great new stuff rumoured to be coming (but that's fine - I prefer beakies and Mk 7 anyway..)

haha you do what I do and buy everything in 3's! 3 wraith knights, 3 Imperial Knights etc etc lol its a great way to go  im still finishing my marine company and then moving onto the black legion collection, determined not to buy any more until its all nearly painted lol (probably wont happen)May just save up a few months for a warlord titan! as a reward for painting all these miniatures. Must get a new thread going and some pics of the stuff im gradually working on. |

well I needed 9 crisis suits to replace the ones I already have, then I needed the commanders for something else. I do like buying/fielding things in twos or threes though

I am getting two heresy sets this weekend... Yeah, I saw your thread on BoLS Lounge. Trying not to be tempted by the box; it's a great offer and I get the sinking feeling that it won't stay at £95 for long but will get a slight increase due to heavy, heavy demand. Funnily I'm more tempted by the Solaq box because it has everything I like in it plus a limited edition captain, who works out at £12 when you subtract everything else. If Solaq is still in Chiswick in 2 weeks I might starve myself for a while and buy it; hopefully people will be too busy saving for Heresy and ignore the limited box. It was still on the shelf on Friday. I got a look at the outside of the Betrayal at Calth box and the manager showed me a Mk4 sgt with a plumed helmet and plasma pistol being painted in WB colours. The power armoured marines are on 32mm bases, but that was to be expected. |

the Solaq box was sold out and is now back in on the GW website so I don't know if it is limited.
I doubt the Heresy box will increase though, rumour has it it is only available for a set time, maybe six months, so unlikely to rise in that time. I did consider just getting the one heresy box, and waiting for the individual releases, but the boxed set is just such good value I will get the second now and it can sit on a shelf until I get round to it

I hope so but do you remember when the Realm of Battle board was first announced then it shot up in price alarmingly quickly?
If they release the infantry later on that will be great! Still getting over how great the new assault and devastator boxes are, which were recently purchased. Need to spray my new shiny grav cannon tactical marine ASAP.

true, but the Realm of Battle board is a normal availability item, rather than a limited term.
apparently the contents will be made available separately next year, along with some others like assault squads and support squads and a rhino/predator.
I am making a motorcycle pyramid formation...

Commander A lovely kit, loads of possibilities, but I would definitely say plan ahead and think carefully. this one didn't come out exactly as I wanted really, and another I had to alter the pose after gluing, sculpting a new shoulder and so on to get it right.    |

on Friday I received 25 old space marine bikes in exchange for buying the guy one broadside. seems like a good deal to me. He described them as pretty much ready to go, he obviously doesn't know me  . I then proceeded to order my own weight in bits to renovate and improve them. the downside is I really want to get on with them, but need to wait for everything to arrive first. why have we not invented teleporters yet? here they are after having all the riders removed.  |
