A new preview, Joseph Selman's Renegade sculpts were shown in the green stage previously, but now they're in metal and at the casters now! These will be released shortly alongside the recently previewed weapons.

GIVEAWAY TIME!It’s Curious Constructs second birthday this month, we've surpassed 500 likes, and on top of that the Field Artillery Kits are finally in production! I don’t know about you, but I think that’s a good enough reason to celebrate in the best possible way, a giveaway! One lucky (and randomly selected) person who likes the Curious Constructs Facebook page is going to get a complete Field Artillery Battery Kit absolutely free! On top of that, for every extra 50 Likes the Curious Constructs page gets between now and the draw over 500 I’ll add something else to the prize pot! That means 3 Rocket Launcher kits and a spare Gun Carriage have already been added to the draw, with only 20 or so likes to go until another Gun Carriage is added! So how do you win? Well very easily! First, make sure you LIKE the Curious Constructs Facebook Page if you don't already. Then LIKE, COMMENT or SHARE the draw post HERE! Each of those three actions will give you one entry in the draw which will take place on Saturday 17th May, so theres just a week to go! Don't put it off though, it'll take you a couple of minutes and you know you'll forget about it right? Easy huh?

Well the giveaway has been and gone, and its been a very good month for Curious Constructs, I'm having trouble keeping up with demand, still waiting for a metal restock so the store is looking a little bare, sorry! I'm ploughing on with new sculpts myself now, several new heads, including the Adrian are nearing completion, and the Firing Line is taking shape, still work in progress, but I'm rather pleased with how the standing figure is looking!

Hell yes!
The firing line model looks brilliant. What sort of timeline are we looking at for the release? Also will I be able to pick which heads on the figures?

I'm hoping I'll have finished with the sculpting in the next couple of weeks, realisitcally late July, early August for release at this stage I think, if I can do it sooner though I will. I'm also toying with making these a resin kit. And yes you'll be able to pick your heads, though if I do go resin, not all of the head options will also be in resin. Right, time for a new preview, I expect these to be in the store before the end of this week, the brand new Rubble Defence Line from Lucky Punk Miniatures!

Just a couple of months? Excellent! If there was a vote I'd go for metal, but that's just my preferred medium between those two choices. In my experience lasgun barrels in resin tend to snap when you drop them on the floor but with the old metal models the guns could be bent back into place.
Are the production/ postage costs much cheaper with resin nowadays?

Thats the plan! I do prefer metal as well, but there is a strong demand for resins which I can't totally ignore I suspect, though there is no particular price difference for me either way. I may end up just offering both for squad kits going into the future. Another project on the go, here's some early work from Joseph on the new Desert Light Infantry components he's working on for me, this will initially take the form of a combined head and torso set - legs and arms for the Renegades are also on the way!

Time to lift the lid! Zinge Industries and Curious Constructs are Kickstarting a gun platform and a range of 4 heavy support weapons. If the project goes well we have a great set of stretch goals lined up and maybe even a few freebies. The guns are compatible with the original Curious Constructs Kickstarter carriage and vice versa for the guns on the platform. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates! Chocks away chaps! Curious Constructs and our partners at Zinge Industries are very pleased to announce the start of our second Kickstarter campaign! This time, with your help, we are going to put into production a 28mm Weapons Platform and four brand new Steampunk inspired Heavy Weapons, a Heavy Caliber Machine Gun, Rocket Launcher, Mortar and Cannon. All of these have been designed by Kit Burrows of Zinge Industries, a highly regarded 3D designer with an extensive portfolio of work. Whichever of these options you prefer, this multi-part kit, which will be cast in high quality resin offers huge potential for customisation! In fact, all the new parts are fully compatible with the existing Field Artillery kits which were the result of last years Kickstarter campaign giving you yet more options. If we exceed our funding target we'll be adding further options as stretch goals, including more weapons, platforms and other accessories. We've got lots of ideas - and we do mean LOTS! Some are more esoteric then others - don't get Gareth from Zinge Industries started on the subjects of Pigeons and Squirrels.... However, we also want to know what you'd like to see! This Kickstarter is very much a living project and as much as possible we will be driven by what you would like us to produce! Check out the Kickstarter campaign at, And don't forget to visit us Curious Constructs & Zinge Industries on Facebook.

So its been a few days since our last update, but theyve continued thick and fast on the Kickstarter! First up we have the Multi-Mortar. Secondly, Multiple Missile Launcher which has so far proven very popular! Next, the first Freebie of the campaign, an Ammunition sprue featuring a selection of ammo types for the weapons so far unlocked, and a couple of those from the 2013 Kickstarter. We've also unveiled the bizarre Homing Pigeon guidance system(!). And most recently the Doomsday Missile. We're still looking at the Flac Cannon at the moment, with further revisions planned, and have just announced the next few Stretch Goals, we're a scant distance away from the Searchlight, with the Flame Cannon, and three further Platform types next on the agenda - Wheeled, Tracked...and Legged! Come and check out the campaign page if this latest batch gets your interest!

After some reworking following feedback from backers we have progress on the Flac Cannon which has gone beyond the concept stage now. It's still work in progress, but we are getting there! VIDEO - youtu.be/5_drCp2J4tI

Right, one further update! We've had a couple more unlocks since my last proper update, with the Searchlight and Flame Cannon both becomming unlocked! The Searchlight is also a multi-option kit, which allows you to build it in a couple of different ways. With just over 24 hours to go we're closing in on unlocking the first of the Self-Propelled Platforms, the wheeled variant, beyond that are the Tracked and Walker versions. Its not too late to get on board in the final 30 hours of the campaign, but dont leave it too long!

12 Hours left, we're just £100 short of the Wheel Self-Propelled Carriage now, £600 short of the Tracked Carriage, can it be done? Initial Concept

wow.. you've made loads of stuff since I last looked!
Fantastic stuff too!
I really like the mulitple missle pod launcher thing,
I also like the Flac Cannon.. does that tie in with the urban rubble barricade / sandbag barricade to make a defense line set?
really like the little ammo carriage. that's the kind of cool awesome which Forgeworld seem to have forgotten about.
The gun carriages look very nice too.
Very cools stuff, I am envious of both your 3D design work and your green stuff abilities!!
Well done and keep it up please!

treadiculous, it could tie in very well yes! All credit to Kit from Zinge Industries on the CAD work he's been doing stunning work on the Kickstarter! 4 Hours left! The Wheeled Self-Propelled Platform is unlocked, can we make it to the Tracked Self-Propelled Platform as well?
