LoL, not really. I would rather have some new valhallans than the older ones, some of them are just so god damned ugly... I dont care for the vostroyan models...they remind me of british troops, because of the big q-tip hats and red garments. Ah well, they also kinda remind me of russians before the october revolution...theres something about them that reminds me of tsarist soldiers.

They are based upon the tsarist soldiery. I just wish GW ot FW released some Attilan infantry.

LoL, attilans? Get some rough riders, they are pretty close, and pretty gross.

I think they would look pretty cool. I don't understand why GW released the attilan rough riders and no infantry, what IG army are they meant to be used in? there is an Attilan officer model, shame there is no infantry though for him to lead though..........

um, ok, i get to hear a lot going on at my local store, and thanks to some sweet talking and not a little help with flirting, i get to hear a lot of news, even though they arent supposed to. What i have heard is that: Mordians/Valhallans- Resin, Foregeworld. Dark Eldar- Late next year Guard Codex, being revisited, within two years, may get an errata, not confirmed. first two are definates, i know the guy, hes not just a little man in the GW company... its amazing what you can do with a smile

I hope they forget the guard codex even exists. I like it how it is! but hey, you never know; I thought they butchered the DA codex when they revised it but now I'm playing DA by choice cuz I love their dex so yeah..... shows how much of a good judge of codex revisions I am! that'd be sweet if forgeworld started on a new IG line - I do love all the work they dedicate to the IG, I feel we're really lucky to be the army that is the apple of their eye. dark eldar have been needing something for a very long time, it'll be interesting to see if they can be ressurrected with some work on their line/codex. ... do they even have a codex?

I would actually go out of my way and spend oodles of cash on resin valhallans... Maybe the lasgun will get more powerful in the new codex!?!?? I mean in the gaunts ghost books it and blow off a dudes arm for gods sake! Meh, even if they dont guard will always be my army.

Why would they make resin mordians/valhallens instead of plastic ones? Does anyone know which is cheaper to make?
I ask because I really do not like the one piece resin models.

I hear what you're saying, padpaw, but GW has alot on their plate; it seems like forgeworld is on a totally different schedule of what they make and when they make it. the last year has seen forgeworld be a very VERY guard oriented entity and, as a guard player, I can only hope it'd continue. one can never tell the future though as far as why they'd make the new guard line in resin vs. plastic - the only answer I can think of is that forgeworld is all about offering options, and a new line of guard minis would be options. it'd be fitting that forgeworld did it. games workshop itself is more in the rules/codex revision department with their new releases being much more 'replace the standard issue' oriented. since mordians/valhallens aren't the IG standard issue, it'd likely go to forgeworld as a project (I would think). I'd like to see this actually occur for the main reason that all the old lines have the old cartoony style lasguns whereas with the advancement in moulding techniques and whatnot, newer more technologically advanced and realistic weapons are possible which really gives the new figures the visual appeal that makes an overhaul worth doing. if given the choice between the old cadians and the new, I'd take the new for the simple reason that the guns look better.

Bah, the valhallans are meant to have old timey wooden bolt-action las guns, when you cock it back a used battery flies out.

Congrats. You're just carrying about 5000 batteries with you just that you have enough shots for a while? Oh with bolt-action you should forget rapid fire So give the Valhallans AK-like lasguns

I like the vostroyan models (their guns look nice) and, to be honest, I'd be suprised if they did anything along the lines of putting out another russian themed line of minis.

Yup. That's why Mordians have the best chances of being redone.
Armageddon is too similar to the DKoK from FW Catachans have plastic line already Cadians are the most used IG plastics Valhallans and Vostroyans are too similar
So only the ones left that would use Cadians as template (really unrealistic) or Mordians...

Cadians have the best chance. They seem to recur... But a mosin-nagant M4000 bolt action lasgun, lol... Or an AK-40K... LoL... Need VALHALLANS!!!
