I'm just going to shut up, as I'm making poor Steve go nuts After I say this: I would enjoy other kinds of poses. Remember the limited edition "at ease" Cadian model? Stuff like that. I mean, I know Grimdark is, well, Grimdark, but you gotta rest too. Maybe some tank riders, too?

Pose 1 needs to have the arms higher so that the dude can actualy look down the sights/optic and the right elbow should be down not out, it should be tucked to the body not out chicken wing style
Pose 3 same comment on the elbow position
Pose 5 if you're going for a "low ready" position then you need to adjust the right arm so that the butt of rifle is still in the shoulder pocket, Pose 5 arms should look like Pose 1 arms just with the arms moved down and to the left
Hope that helps.

Guys you can also feel free to post a pic of a certain firing pose you like. There really are no bad ideas here, I'm just trying to get some input. It's a bit tougher than it seems, trying to get good poses with multi-part models. For example here's a good firing pose I just did... Looks great, but when you look at it from the back... You can see that shoulder twisting forward to accommodate the arm. That's very hard to pull off when the arm isn't attached to the torso. It ends up making the arms look way strange. Probably why you don't see many multi-part models with certain poses. The other piece is that the rifle butt is hanging there in mid air by his face when it should be closer to his armpit or shoulder. The issue here is that the weapon is proportioned to be compatible with "other" weapons that people may have. Anyways, still working on things. More to come.

Great work.
I really like the pose of the weapon being lifted in the up position. Think of the Catachan with the bolt rifle. Also another pose such as the model holding the weapon in one hand ( by the pistol grip) while the other hand pointing, think of a point man on patrol who sees something of interest and points it out to the rest of the squad.

Definitely need the stock to be snug against the shoulder to not look silly, unfortunately.

When are you getting some of the new stuff to your shop? The best window I can give is first week of December, but it's an estimate. I am at the mercy of my printer and he is a busy man. If my digital models get printed quicker, they'll be released sooner.

i think your latest images of the aimed assault rifle is very good, but i see how problematic it is because of the lenght of the rifle itself... i guess its because its a little short, and in real life , almost all modern stocks are adjustable. the gap could be minimised with thicker arms, smaller figure, larger scale rifle... i know your using 3d armature of a human, but it will be better when given heroic proportions.
as far at the 5 pictured poses in the page before, i love all three...
1 - pretty much perfect 2 - again, very good 3 - looks like hes aiming aropund an wall edge, almost stalking 4 - less keen on running, but stilll very good pose 5 - perfect.
keep the work up mate... this is shaping up to being the kind of parts company that would very much suit my needs.
edit... thinking up some other poses id like to see...
1- solid snake style stalking while aiming pose... holding pistol and knife combo - both arms up, hunched forward , walking forward slowly.
2- combat aiming rifle, but crouched down, legs bent and splayed.
3 - combat leader pose, holding rifle rifle in semi ready mode (aimed, but slightly lower) second arm available for hand signals/ mag changes/ pressing ptt button etc.

Once I get the first set of arms completed, I'll start putting together ideas for alternate sets of poses. Things like "at rest", salutes, loading rifles, etc. This is will be in the near future, probably sometime around February or March. Here's the final render on the Boonie Hats: The next wave of releases will be going to the printer this weekend. -Steve

Ponen19: Here's what I have on the radar: Female Heads, Tank Crew Heads/Torsos, Parade-Style Heads/Torsos. Work will also continue on the first set of arms, that's turning out to be a longer process than I anticipated. Any other female parts will be sometime next year. -Steve

the boonie hats look perfect and their faces are all nicely varied... i imagine the rims might be a pain to cast... make them thicker just in case, at a guess, the rims gonna be as thin as paper...... im sure it wont detract from the look overall... boonie hats are what catchans really need.
oh and dont feel pressure to get stuff made of overwork yourself .. hehe... we can wait, cant rush perfection.

No problem on the female stuff, just curious is all. Like Ashot said, take your time and don't feel too rushed. Would rather have a nice model that takes awhile than a crappy one that I can have next week.

No worries, I pace myself...lol. The arms are taking longer because there is some fine tuning involved to get the proportions correct. Once I get those set, it will be much quicker to get sets out. The same applies to torsos and legs.
On a side note, I'm thinking I may throw a backpack of some kind in the next wave. Any consensus on the style?

I'm happy to announce further price decreases, this time on shipping within the U.S. It doesn't seem right to have someone pay $6 shipping on an item that costs $3.50. So, effective today, we will be now be sending U.S. orders under 13oz. via 1st Class Mail. All orders will still include delivery confirmation.
I'll be monitoring this to see how it works, hopefully it will help ease the hesitation on some people who only want to purchase an item or two.

Steve, I can see a bright future ahead of you. And when you are a big company that starts ripping off its customers like GW does, I can say "I was there when he started and he only charged 3,50 for a sprue of heads."
As for backpacks...that's a tough one. I like the one that you get with IG HW boxes, but the FW Cadian ones are also interesting.

Now that the latest batch of stuff is off at the printer, I thought it would be a good time to start on the next wave of ideas. I'm thinking the following: Tank Crew Heads/Torsos, Parade-Style Heads/Torsos, and Female Heads.
I've got a slight start on the tank crewman head so we'll start there I guess. I post a WIP tonight or tomorrow for some feedback.

The second one looks brilliant; really snail-shell like, as well.

The first one is based strictly on a Russian tanker helmet. I like them both, but I am partial the second, more modern version. I think I may do a set of both.
Still some more refinements to do, another update soon.
