Given the influx of new fluff and a new (fantastic) range of models, I find myself once again drawn back to the forces of Ultramar! Now this project will run side by side with my Krieg force. I'm thinking of a "forces of Ultramar" theme where the 2 armies are allied together (thank the God Emperor for the Imperium key word!) Now I always start with models I want to paint so below is the new Primaris Captain that I've Ultrafied! I also bought the Dark Imperium and Triumvirate of the Primarch box sets. Which are amazing value for money. I love the Blue, really pops off the model within all the darker colours.
Really well done on the coat and the Larger Base is a great idea, make's him stand out from the others.
Whats coming up next or are you keeping me on my toes?

Thanks guys. I was hoping to get across the grimy filth that comes from trench warfare in my bases. I've finished my Ensign with Regimental Standard! Again I've gone for a gritty, weathered look. I added the white skull on blue which is my army badge so expect to see that running through the force. The 3's on there is to signify that they belong to the 3rd Siege Regiment, that's as far as I've got with the fluff! Finished the other members of my Command Squad! I'm getting closer to building up my first 1500pt Krieg list! At the moment I'm making up the shortfall with Primaris Ultramarines. Had a good game vs Tyranids, I lost quite heavily but learned a lot. Those turn 1 charges really hurt! I'm playing a World Eaters army next. Hopefully I can use what I've learned to better effect. Got my first Hellblaster done for my Primaris Ultramarine contingent! I'll be doing a lot of these for a while as I promised the boss that I wouldn't buy anything new until I've painted at least half of my backlog!! With these I've tried to make them as clean as possible so they contrast completely with the muddy and weathered Krieg stuff. Finally some progress! Got my first squad of Hellblasters finished. I'm trying to keep things uniform but still showing that each one of these guys is a hero in their own right. I had a transfer sheet left from when I was working on a Horus Heresy force so I'm using them to add individuality. OK, multiple update today. Finished my first squad of Engineers and another first some Intercessors! The Engineers are (imo) the second best models in the Krieg range (after Deathriders) a real joy to work on. On the Intercessors, I'm working my through the Dark Imperium box set. The models in it are fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend the set to anyone who wants Primaris. Anyway here's the pics:  Death Korps of Krieg  Primaris Ultramarines |

Looking good!
The kriegsmen are suitably dark and muddy looking, makes them a bit hard to see in the picture (on my tiny phone screen atleast) but very cool.
The primaris marines are looking great as well.

Thanks very much lads! Now I was saving Guilliman as a treat for finishing the Primaris. But you all know the way of the hobby, the new shiny gets too much and you just have to go with it! There's so much going on with this model, it's unbelievable! Been a slow couple of weeks, hobby wise. Sadly I had to sell the Krieg models I had, a shame but there we go. Gives me more opportunity to work on the beautiful Primaris models!
