Well I got some good and bad news. (Good and bad depending on your viewpoint, so you'll most likely think that my good news are bad for you while my bad news are good for you)
First the bad ones. 1. I'm running out of primer 2. It takes too long to assemble Clanrats and Plague Monks 3. I don't have any idea what kind of minis I should use for my slaves...
Now the good ones. 1. I need more Plague Monks. I can finish about 1 every 15minutes. 2. I need more Clanrats, they thake about one h per rat because of the much details, but they're worth it

knight: 10pts, 6 for the infantry models, and 4 for quality (i did .5 per model but one was really nice looking for an extra .5 and the standard was an extra .5 - 10 pts total).
I recommend taking a clear pic with your digital camera and then cropping the portion of the pic out that you want in paint or something - that's the best way to avoid blur from zoom since the dimensions of the pic file that are created are typically very large.
better resolution could mean better scores - if you feel you deserve more say so - it's hard to judge from blurry pics but they looked worthy of a quality bonus.
gris: as long as you have 10pts on your score, you can call a paintoff. you don't need to be 10pts ahead.

are these all models you've painted in the paintoff? is there something new here or just improved pics of what you've been working on? I notice a few new models (plague monks) - am I scoring these or were they painted to begin with? thanks and nice pics!

The Plague Monk and Plague Priest are new. The Clanrats and the Warlord are old.
The Plague guys are only 4 part minis (body, 2 arms, and head). But the flail was actually a weapon swap as it's normally a left hand weapon in the sprue.

spiffy. so for the monk and priest we'll say 2 (infantry sized model) +2 for quality (to catch you up on what I feel you deserve for the clanrats as far as extra quality that I didn't award). so 4 total. I'm not too big on doing points for weapon swaps, but I'll give you .1 - that's perfectly fine. 4.1 total for you then. just to show I'm still in this (!!!!) here's one from me: death jester gonna claim 1.75pts on him 1+.75 quality.

hah. turtleboy strikes again! here's my harlequin troupe master: I'm claiming 2pts (1pt for infantry sized model and 1pt for quality) for him - I spent a long time doing the hand painted diamond pattern checkers on him.

thanks fellas I'm really unhappy with the coat for the troupe leader - it's basically all I see of him for the whole time he's on the table and it's really bland which makes the whole model feel that way (though it's totally not). I'm thinking of putting some fat checkered stripes on the coat and really making it into a work of art just so I'll find a fitting level of satisfaction from seeing it on the table.

added some checkering to the coat but it's still 'not finished' ... just gotta figure out what will give it that finishing touch. I was thinking some type of starfield but I'm not sure that would work too good with the checkering since some are black ah well we'll see what springs to mind as time passes.

A starfield in a mirrored checkerfield might work well, though that depends on how well you can paint a starfield to show on a psudo reflected mirror surface.. does that even make sense? Stupid work confusing me these days.. but hope you get the idea...

Due to family showing up I didnt get much work done, but I was able to get my first converted bull finished though.. By grisnik, shot with DSC-W7 at 2007-07-01 Yeah hes a bit rough on the edges but when you think he is a normal Ogre Bull and they will all look like him it stands out pretty nice.. the blue highlights on the black dont show as much in real life but thats the downside of photos.. they bring out all the flaws :S Anyways thats one bull done.. 5 more converted ones to go.. might work on some cannons first though And yes TB he is HEAVILY converted.. the shoulder wrap, the belly, the toga thingy.. all done with greenstuff to add bulk and prestige to my bulls Cheers Gris

these guys are a bit harder to judge, but if my harlequin troupe leader is worth 2, then this guy should be worth, say, 3? that factors in some for conversion, & a bit for quality painting, the rest for model size (this guy's bigger than a medium base for 40k so giving him a base value of 2 as with cavaly sized models, then .67 for conversions and .33 for quality). sound ok with you? edit: I adjusted the original post so you don't have to scroll thru the rules for the paintoff to get to the leaderboard, it's now at the top of the first post in the thread. I also made it so it's in order!! if you're in 1st place you'll be first on the leaderboard. now you can set your sights on the next competitor above you and paint toward their point total as your goal extra edit!: I've just upped the prize pot by a blister. the winner now gets 3 blisters of his/her choice. that's the equivalent to $30usd in GW products of the winners choice, shipped free of charge. get to it!

that looks great. nice conversions Gris, i need to catch up but i havent got around to painting anything. you just need to post pics, not words the wash isn't dry yet but you get the picture...I wanna go to bed, I just couldn't do so knowing I was in last place in the paintoff! 5pts for a fully painted vehicle. no quality bonus on this one, the pic makes it look like crap we'll see how the wash sets in the mornin. now that I've past .found! guess what fishki? ... you're next!
