I call my special weapons teams combat engineers... mainly as I kitted them up with 1/48 scale royal engineers/wehrmacht pioneers sprues

Nah, 40 is okay, considering their stats, I mean you can get a JO and men, but they are not really too cool...and the commissars/priests are way better.

I`d like to see a rule that makes the forge world rules legal in all games. And medics to be availiable in all squads.

okay more speacial equipment doctrines Aromoured company rules Damm it this is the imperial guard if we want to have 10 tanks then let us we might win not change anything with lasguns or normal infantry thats how it is guys were not super human also more tanks and also some more options for troops (soucting parties perhaps) More special equipment would be nice. Ever thought about downloading the Armoured Company rules from the GW homepage? Eh? Scouts would be fast attack or elite. but if you want them, try tooling up the vets

Things would be easier if the A.C rules were included in the codex, I have already highlighted this point.

Maybe if a few of the FW tanks became 'codex' and the AC rules, with some more infantry rules like the Afriel Strain, shock troops doctrine (all Guard infantry units gain furious assault, 2 special weapons and no heavy weapon and may re-roll all morale tests) and some more good stuff like that.

1) bring back the exterminater, vanquisher and the griffon.Just becouse people weren't buying them as much doesn't mean that you can drop them from the dex.
2) i would like to be able to drop the heavy weapon and pick up a second special weapon in A.F. squads.
3) if rthe doctrines are gone then i'm gone.It is a simple fact that they are dumbing down the game and thats not nessecarily a good thing.Simplafying things like the big games are one thing but they have been having this disturbing trend to take away the things that give flavor to peoples armies. I remember one of the guys in the white dwarf saying something like you should be able to convey the flavor of the army just by the looks and not by the war gear and what they could do .the quote is not exactly correct but it seems like they want to lump all the armies of the same type as the same army with different paint jobs.Hmmm, your Valhallens look alot like my cadians, only they are painted white.
4)armoured companies as a doctrine. It should have been in this dex.
as far as lowering the points,i think the points are pretty good and cheaper in some respects to the last dex.
I think they should bring the sentinals points and abilities into line with the eldar war walkers.Since that dex came out i have been upset about their abilities and prices to the point i won't play against an eldar army if they have them.Yea i'm pretty pig headed and tend to hold a grudge for some time but to me it just isn't fair.
anyway, thats my ideas. There have been alot of great ideas in this section and i really hope the GW guys read this and take heed.

I`d like to replace the indirect fire rule for basilisks with spotters. Spotters would be 2 man teams with comms to the basilisk. The rule would be the basilisk can shoot at anything within line of sight of the spotters only. A maximum of 3 spotter teams can be purchased per basilisk and they can only report back to their designated basilisk (if there is more than one basilisk in the game). I`m not really sure how much each spotter team should cost, I`d say the standard 6 points per guardsman would be enough.
I think this would add a slight new dimension to the game because the guard player would want to get the spotters right into the action while wanting to keep them alive, while the enemy would want to kill the spotters reducing the area the basilisk can shoot at.
It could be fun.

Different types of lasguns would be excellent. The build would actually matter. I do feel for minefields and fortifications as unit entries, but it's not always feasible. I mean, what if the guard get caught off guard or ambushed? It's not always stationary combat.

Although it usually is with IG.

Actually, I think that GW should allow all IG players with light-infantry to use the ambush rules. And tanks too.

I'd like to see the addition of something like special rules for specific regiments. Like regiments that might get these are DKoK, Elysians, Cadians, Vostroyan Firstborn you know.

I think he wants some IG regiments to be like SM chapters who have there own special commanders and units.

If SM get it, we should...... we do comprise 99.9 (power of the infinte) percent of the Imperiums fighting forces after all.

And I want spotters.
And my 'close support' doctrine. (All guard infantry models taking this doctrine may upgrade their lasguns to shotguns or laspistols and close combat weapons at no additional cost. And the option to take a demolition charge, heavy flamer or an infantry stubber for the heavy weapons).
And Sergants with powerweapons.

Why the hell would you want a sergeant with a power weapon? if a guard infantry squad is in close combat it's dead whatever happens!
