Not sure if this has been asked already and i just missed it in the 10 pages of reading, but what do you do for a living? im Active US Army and I get a lot of holidays off, but i dont think i could accomplish even a fraction of the things youve done. you are the man...
Would you ever consider doing a weapon to modern scale and not 40K. everything of yours Ive seen haves been awsome, but it has that feel of being to large for its user. id love to see a lasrifle in "normal" size along with the rest of the gear. but like i said it looks great.

@the Gentleman Soldier: Ok.... ;D bravofour : I start as an fine-mechanic worker 25 years ago...working as an tool maker and now on an CNC milling machine... But I have NOT enough time to do ALL what I want... Currently its an 10hour working day...there is no energy for doing works on the equip... But if you have enough holiday at the army service , then you have to start up to built an equipment.. If you want it really, you can do it really... The size of the weapons....yes, I´m first an realist in handling something, an then comes the gw look.....a weapon which is to heavy to handle or not to use for an Non-space marine is sh...t. If you can handle the weapons realistic, the whole thing looks better.... Greets from germany Watts

Good Lord, I would honestly pay good money to know who you made the armor, myself and a few of my friends are planning to do an IG Command Squad for an upcoming Nerf War. Great job on the armor by the way. How did you make it?
EDIT: NVM I read thought the thread. Damn that is nice. I wish I had that kind of money and space time. Any advice you could give someone looking to make their own?

I go through and look at these amazing pictures almost every day. They are simply stunning.
If I ever find myself in Germany, I might look you up Watts! See if you'd be up for a commission job for some Sister of Battle Power Armor. =)

@nicholasakira: It was only small talk about his former place he lives...not important, no imperial secrets @helmian : Thats ok..... @razak : "Any advice you could give someone looking to make their own?" If you have the the tools for doing it in my way, yes, then I can give some advise..... But this way of working, you can do only with steel.... @sister Gothitea : "If I ever find myself in Germany, I might look you up Watts" If your are really here in germany, sure, you are welcome here in the home of the guard .... See if you'd be up for a commission job for some Sister of Battle Power Armor. =) i'm currently building a suit of that right now.. while watts stuff is awesome, you will want to consider alternative materials, i'm using heat sensitive plastic, and it's very light, but it's still going to be rough having my wife clomp around with it all, individual pieces are light, but combined weight adds up. if my wife, who is a water polo player, not a girly girl, is thinking shes going to have an issue with wearing the armor at a convention for several hours, i think there may be alot of trouble wearing watts heavy metal stuff heh.

Once the armor is on you really dont notice it much as the weight is spread out. It is when you are going for the true authenticity and have the full wool greatcoat and the like that you start having issues... Not because of weight but because of overheating. That many bodies in close proximity really does produce a lot of heat. A perfect example of the amount of heat the body produces when in large numbers is the Mega Mall in Minneapolis, MN... They do not do much for heating there and actually rely on the heat from the massive amounts of shoppers there to provide the heat.

Pics from last saturday, a little fantasy con , but only with small equip. Not as Lt.Watts only as an vox operator...without the helmet. here (not on this con) the real vox operator with complete gear( the helmet is stored at his home) And we meet another witchhunter inquisitor at the con.. Willem: I think the las gun should bigger sized..the form is nice, the stock too.. You would carry an assault gun on the shoulder? ...visit me, I would put my piece on your shoulder then let us see.... ;D But why you are fixing the leg protction with cord? That is looking like ork gear ..orks are cool, but in this situation it looks not good. Drill some holes and use blind rivetts and leather or military belt material. And if you go down the street with this power claw, I think the police are not amused....does it work? I mean is this a real cutting tool? kommissar & commissarbob: Yes, in buildings that is not the right outfit, on cons we stay the most time in the outdoor places....at saturday 2hours with the radio on the back, then there must be a break... But the heat...no problem without the helmet an the hand protection....but we are wearing standart battle dresses not made of wool Greets Watts

it was a one night inspiration. i had school that day and realized that i should make some karsken armor for the Halloween party the next day. so i went to home depot and bot rivets and steal siding. my budget was kinda small so i could not get proper restraints. so i used rubber bands, no one new it was kinda parkish they don't even know about 40k. they just thought it was asom the las gun was supposed to be a more stealthy version for infiltrators so i made it sleeker and smaller. after all its the most adaptable weapon in the Galaxy. the assault canon shoots rubber bands it was a Little school project i made because i saw a one and had to make my one i originally fired it like a normal rifle but then i adapted it to fire at the hip but that didn't work very well so i shoulder mounted it and now i can aim better with it on my shoulder what piece i am curios and i would love to sea your stuff but I'm in the USA and i don't think i can swim that far. and reading back further i have Sean your elesyan costume and i am in aw of it i want to make a volstran first borne costume eventually but i would like to make a caidain/karsken one first
