8.30 in the morning...the same prozess as every day...starting with this f...ing cut short pipe pieces... It takes 2.5 hour to make the tube fittings... the result after 2.5 hour Start the works on the backside of the armour I like to work with steel...but the form of the backside is challenge...it does´nt make so much fun... I tape it to see it complete.... Greets Watts

I have what may seem like an odd suggestion, but I will throw it out there anyways. I would suggest filling those hollow armor sections with 2 part expanding foam. Here is my reasoning... The hollow pieces will echo / sound hollow if you tap them I am guessing and from the thinner guage of metal I am guessing that they would be slightly easier to put a dent into. Filling these with the two part expanding foam would deaden the hollow sound and add a bit more structural rigidity without adding much to the weight. Just a thought.

Thats a good idea, the only problem on this is, that if I have do do some weldings later to adapte or repair something on the armour....the foam inside will burning because of the heat .
But what do you mean with two part foam? I only know the 1 Part foam to brush! Greets Watts

That is why you do not pour the foam until after you are done doing all the welds. It is a two part foam kind of like 2 part resin except that when you add the two parts together it expands very nicely. You can procure it by the gallon fairly cheaply via a taxidermy supply or special effects supply such as monster makers. You can get it in a variety of densities from 5 pounds to 20 pounds or more (not sure what the metric equivalent would be, I dont know the conversion rate between a given mass per cubic foot and the metric equivalent of choice off hand...) You can also likely find it at some automotive shops as it is an effective method to stiffening the frame of your car if you have one of the space frames common on lighter cars without adding much weight. Here is a link to an example of what I am talking about... www.vandykestaxidermy.com/product/108080/urethane-foam

Ok, If I had the time I´ll look for that...thanks. Today I get nearly ready.....only an mistake on backside, there are two parts of the box, ther are changed... Ther are only little works to do...like the fastening straps, the two buttons, painting the tube fixing etc. The tubes became later the position like the left one The paint is not the bronce Green, I use standart ....I use at this nato green---

Man, you never fail to amaze me.
I just wish I had the time to do some of this stuff. Have you ever thought of making a Sentinel to stand next to your outpost? I've been talking with some of my friends about doing one but I don't have the money for adding much to my army let alone an awesome side project.
Again great work, looking forward to seeing more.

@ leinadyor: Yes I hadsome dreams of an sentinel but my fav is an valkyrie or an Hydra. But my truck carrys only 3to´s....I think such projects are not very realistic End of project carapace, tube fixing mounted, tube painted, all click fasteners mounted, first test with uniform...it fits well.... I never built such an light carapace....it is absolutly cool ;D What I have to do next is the shoulder plates Gruß Lt. Watts

Looks great! I'm assuming you made the Respirator part of the armour on purpose, right?

Yes, all other ideas get the whole thing to much difficult. But ´m not sure about that this is really an respirator. I had some heavy discussions with guys try to do an elysian equip to... I´ll use later an seperate respirator, its easier to handle.. Greets Watts

Now its done.....my current project , building an elysian lasgun.....only some little details to do( fake mag release button a.s.o) Her you can see the targeting line the lamp is´nt an masterwork.....but I´m in hurry The grip and the dimensions works good in handling the weapon The weapons dimensions are genius....the right weapon for cityfight I´m very satisfied about this little baby in my arsenal.. ;D ;D ;D greets Watts

Yes, thats the plan...but the next two months there is not enough time to work on such an project. I´ll fill this time with little projects like the knee protection and the combat knive/ bajonet.
