Yeah he's flexing. But so what? You gonna say anything to him? Glad to see the bird put to use Also, if you want to do some identifying, try this site.

ReWolf - Arg, I meant to mention that! I was sure I did! Must be going a little crazy The vulture is indeed yours, thank you so much for that again! I was waiting for a model characterful enough for a pet like that - i hope you think he fits the bill? Now I just need someone to run with the lizard! Thanks for the site too - I'll be sure to have a hunt out for my new acquisitions. @er - Is he really going to need to? rarves - I know, right? I'm impressed he can find that much hairspray in the dystopian future A bit of fluff now - not on the platoon commander, but just a little flavour. It's about a drug called scope available to anyone who can get hold of it, and what it does. It's a pretty stupid writing style, but it was fun to do. It's short and sweet, and hopefully it makes sense! Left and right, left and right. Move forward. Eyes up, keep low. Splintered beam, head down. Windows. Always down, don’t present a target. Low profile. Gunshots! No. Nearby, not close. Not close enough. No one in this building. No danger. Doorway. Move through. Always move. Open ground. Danger. Keep low, wait, watch. Watch for movement. Doorways, windows, rubble. Burnt cars, windows. Too many. Too much. Too many places, too many possibilities. Go back. Move. Always move. Corpses. New corpses. Kick him over – keep alert. Down not dead, down not dead. This time dead. Red marks on shoulder, red coyote. Red means enemy. Red means Ridgeway. Red means bad. Feel the rush – the fight is coming. Ammo. Take it, move on. Always move. Stop. Voices. Wait, keep quiet. Grasp the mask and breathe deep. Breathe it in. Scope works slow, follow the feeling. Through the lungs, burning. In the blood, around the body. Feel the flow. Tendrils reaching upward, strange warmth and cold through the neck. Inflation in the head, calm. All calm and clear. Ready now. Go. Move. Two of them. Everything slower now. Seen you, frozen. Smile. Let them know. Revel. Hands are up, no weapons. Doesn’t matter. Pull the trigger, hear the noise. Hear the screams, hear the rumble, feel the punch. She screams, she runs. He crumples. Smile. Draw the blade. She knows. Feel the rush. I'll put up some fluff for the new guy tomorrow ;D

That's a great deal you got there.
Also loving the little snippets of fluff throughout the entire topic.

Thanks Romer, I really appreciate the comment ;D Just a really quick update - work has been mad, and tonight's been the first real chance I've had to get something done GS work is mostly done now (though wow do close ups make it look horrible!), and unless you lot think anything is totally out of proportion, ugly or missing, I can hopefully start painting tomorrow! I'd really appreciate any feedback before I do though Cheers!

The GS looks great. He does look very post-apoc warlord.

He does look very post-apoc warlord. That's what I was thinking when I saw him - just couldn't remember the words (if that makes sense?) Looking forward to seeing him painted up - I had some worries about the belt buckle looking a little... squiffy - but I think that'll all look good when painted (and I certainly couldn't do better )

Thanks a lot for the comments and compliments guys! It's been a busy few weeks, but I've finally finished painting up my ganger Lieutenant - now all he needs is a name... If only somewhere there was a forum full of guard fans who could help me out... I'd love any comments you might have - especially constructive criticism! I'm looking to improve here, so be as mean as you like

Very nice paint job. Is that bear cape from the Space Wolves spruce? As far as a name for him, incorporate something to do with bears.

Ugh, so many puns! Nothing to do I guess but grin and BEAR it! I've heard a few suggestions that his hair is too dark. What do you lot think? Would a deep red higlight help that out? As in just a top layer of really deep red. Or do you think that would look ridiculous? @lt Dublindawg - The bear pelt is from here. There are a few similair things on the space wolf sprues, but I don't think any are as detailed.

But... but... Bear Grylls... as in "Born Survivor" - surely you've seen it on TV?

Im all about the sideburns. Check those badboys. I think he should have a white streak in his hair, like Johnny Depp in Sweeny Todd.

Hahaha, sorry Gabe, must have missed your suggestion. That's a good one! I really like the your white stripe plan too, 3ff3ct - I might have to do a dye job on him. Maybe a little tinge of 'bride of Frankenstein' in there though Thanks a lot control! Though Vesuvia(us?) is right though - It's totally how he wakes up in the morning I've finished the greens for my entry for 3ff3ct's contest now, but you guys'll have to wait for that one - I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post pictures yet or not!

I think if you gave him a dark blue wash in his hair, it would stand out more as being black. And a lock of white hair would make him a pure badass. Give the bird a matching little style on its head, too!

hahaha, amazing. That would look ridiculous, but also incredible. So conflicted! I'll try out the blue wash though, thanks for the tip!
