Her legs are much too bulky for her arms.

Nice and blunt there, Bryant. The shotgun is one of three from a company called maxmini. They do loads of good stuff, so check em out. And Dedrier, give her a chance! She's v. v. early WIP at the mo, and I'm gonna try and balance that out as best I can. Hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised! Can you think of any changes I could make to the leader at all? I'm hopefully gonna paint him up a lil bit this evening.

Maybe you could GS a few scars onto his arms and face. Also, a few tattoos would fit the bill.

I think the neck needs thickening a bit at the back...

I think possibly some more individualisation (such as scars etc) would definitely be a good move. I'd also take on Rewolf's advice about the kneck - just a little thicker. How abouit a bandolier of shotgun shells over the other shoulder to the one that has the strap currently? Cross them over kind of thing. Maybe even a small one on his bicep containing "specialist" shells? I'll reserve judgement on the woman as you say she's early work - but currently I'm thinking maybe the leags are a little too beefy, even if you argue they're super baggy. Not really sure what to offer as a replacement other than maybe the legs off another Necromunda model?

I tried and then I remembered why I don't like overly skinny women.

For the female ganger, maybe use a file to make the legs smaller, or don't give her such an hourglass shape. If that doesn't work, maybe bulk up the arms.

The gang leader looks great and so do the rest of your models. However, may i ask which gang they represent or are they one of ur devising?

Alright guys, thank you so much for all the tips and comments. I've tried to follow a few suggestions, so hopefully you'll be pleased with the changes! First up is the commander again - his neck is a little thicker now, and I tried to sculpt on some tendons. I also added some specialist shells on a bicep bandolier, so thanks for that, Gabe! I think he's pretty much done now, but I'd love any more tips or suggestions you might have - hey, he can only improve, right? In fluff terms, [insert name] is part of a group of three scouts sent to Rookport Spire - the largest city (i.e. a small hive, complete with underhive) on Caitiff. Their role was to gather survivors interested in joining Ridgeway's cause, but also to hunt out archeotech, fuel and ammo dumps, and anything else that might be useful to a scavenger army. They are not there to start open conflict, and will hide, set ambushes, and avoid contact if necessary. Hence, I'm running with Delaque rules The first three models are pretty militiary in appearance, but the final ganger, heavy and juves will be recruited locals, and have more of a gangland / post-apocalyptic vibe. I'm planning fluff for each character eventually! I hear what you're saying about my female ganger, and I agree that the legs and general hourglass shape are OTT. I'm planning on bulking out her top extensively though (think thick woolen jumper), and if necessary, I can file down the legs too (though I'm trying to avoid this if I can!). I've got some updated WIPs, that hopefully show this a little better. If you still think she's out of proportion, feel free to say so - I'm kinda new at this sculpting lark, and I really appreciate all the advice you've given me so far! The final ganger is just a mocked together pic (complete with mad MS Paint skillz!) and more a display of concept than anything good! The idea is that he's scrambling down some wreckage like you'd move down a scree slope. He has +1 attack in his profile, and I thought one of Ridgeway's hounds would be a good representation of that. Do you like the pose? I'm just asking at this stage so I can change it before any extensive green stuffing! So what do you think, IGMB? Is the theme alright? How are the poses? Thanks so much for all your input on the last two, you really helped me out. Forum love!

I think the female model looks a lot better now that she is less hourglass shaped. For the running guy, I would recommend using a terminator base, as it would allow you to put both him and the dog on it.

The female looks very good, especially in comparison to what you had before. Both of the other gangers look good. The running guy will look really nice when you paint him up I think.

Does the leader carry a side arm? Coz IMO it would look cool in an ankle holster. Also maybe not do a proper lead, instead just a piece of rope, as I believe it suits the theme better. But just a thought. Cheers MrBojab

Well frig. I just wrote a really long reply to all your individual comments, but the internet died when i hit post, and now it's all gone. So friggity sodding wank. Anyways, thanks for all the compliments, I'm glad you like the improved female ganger, and I'll do my best to stick a holster on the gang leader, and I'll try making a GS rope for the dog, but it might be out my GS league! THnaks for the suggestions though. Oooh, and all my gangers will be on terminator bases, so thanks for that suggestion too. Apologies for the absence, btw - totally had nothing to do with a recent video game release or anything like that. Just a small update today, more to motivate myself not to let New Vegas take over my life than anything else! This is the base my female ganger (working name: Twitch) will have, and I tried out a bunch of new techniques to make it look old and decrepid, which hopefully you'll like! No prizes for guessing where she'll be sitting. Hopefully you'll get the full model tomorrow or the day after! (p.s. I say this a lot, but goddamn the camera makes things look worse than in real life!)

Time for another update probably interesting to noone but me, but here's another base! and some progress on the ganger with the dog who'll eventually be glued to it As always, I'd love to know what you all reckon, and thanks to everyone who commented!

I approve of the base. And I don't remember if this has been suggested, but why don't you take a bit of string for the leash? Just clip it to length, glue the ends in place, and coat it with a clear sealant. Instant, and very realistic, rope.

Thanks, Rarves, that's really kind of you! I like trying to make em a little bit narrative, though it can be really hit and miss! Just a quick one today as I'm expecting a friend any minute. This model is now done for the most part, though I may still do touch ups here or there. Really interested in your opinions for her though: Do the proportions work now? Are the colours ok? Did the jersey turn out alright? I tried some new stuff with her face / hair - does it show? (please say yes!) As always, any comments are much appreciated - it's how I learn! Scarp

I really like this, she looks like Pam Greer so I instantly think bad @$$. She’s very feminine and tough at the same time. Lends a lot of character and emotion. Reminds me of when the grunt with the demolition plunger was hiding in the building as the Germans closed in at the end of Saving Private Ryan, which is good tension, danger is close by. I see some added detail on there that came out well like the elbow pads. Nice. Also, she looks dirty, I see she was painted with dirt stains on her clothes, a great touch. The only things that jump out at me: The grit in the front of the building looks like raw ballast/sand. It looks like you hit it with a wash already. It does look different from the blackened rubble she’s sitting on inside and the distinction between outside ground and inside rubble is good. But it looks too close to sand and distracts my eye a bit. Maybe make it more umber or earth looking? Also, the place where her hand meets the powercell/hilt or whatever she is pulling from her waist needs touch up, if possible. Looks like there is spill over between flesh/wash/metallics. Maybe it’s the flash. Overall, well done!

Looks like the conversion turned out to be a real success for the ganger girl then! Although it was starting to look good before the painting stage, paint always seems to improve a model in my opinion - and this has turned out really groovy!
