Do what you want, regarding my head. I like the head... hmm... do you have a light red color? If you make a slight corona around the pupil, that would be awesome. And if you mess-up, you can just re-coat with white and try crazy eyes again.

The thing on the back of Pax is supposed to be a gas mask with headphones - did anyone see the video for that Boom Boom Pow song by the Black Eyed Peas? Your ears (and possibly eyes) will bleed, but if you can maintain your sanity through about half of the song, a bunch of war images turn into music ones, and it seemed to fit

I've also (finally!) finished Ignatius' vet too, so here's Guiseppe Bellardini. I couldn't seem to get the lighting right for this one, so the colours are kind of off, but I'll see if i can get better pics later on.

Final thing - can anyone think of a head in the correct scale for a guardsman that's actually smiling? Not a nice smile though, more of an 'i'd be gutting these orks with my fingernails even if you weren't paying me to do it' smile. I can't seem to find one.

This mini is very "me." The way he just stands there, weight shifted forward, head tilted back and to the side, ready to burn all who oppose the Emperor...

I'm not sure whether or not to request a pilot light for the heavy flamer, though. Regardless go ahead and work on the other people first -- you have a lot on your plate.

Thanks ReWolf! Mould lines are my new pet hate, and I am working on ditching them, it's just a pain in the arse that you don't usually spot them til they have a layer of paint on them.

Ignatius and Req - I'm so glad you like the models! And I'm super honoured that you switched out your picture for a while, Req ;D I'll see what I can do bout the pilot light next time I have the GS out.

@happyorange - Have you considered therapy? I have had dreams involving this board too (well, nightmares really - Ymmot probably had something to do with it) - Sign of obsession, I guess And is it elle-uh-jay-ik, right? I've always thought the name was kinda bleak for someone who's so upbeat all the time!

Does the head work? I got the model headless off ebay (99p!), so I had to crack out the GS. It looks like he has a couple of nasty neck tumours now, but I did my best.

Next up are a few more Roll Call models, so I'll get em up when I can. Let me know what you think!

Yep. The name is a bit morbid (and depending on the definition, it's redundant too). I'm upbeat? Hmmm... well, nothing I've ever seen posted has actually upset me since, as a MassComm major, I fully understand the difficulties of communicating via text. I'm working on Trethewey and Langston at the mo, whom I think are suggestions of MarkOfTruth and Westrider and together form an autocannon team. I'm thinking I might do 1 roll call soldier to 1 non roll call, so I can catch up with what I've promised and still do my own creativey type things

Turns out Harker was a bit of a f*ck up on my part actually - I'd already said I'd paint him up with a facemask and (I'm guessing, seeing as the name was going to be Xiang) not afrocarribean for KaikelX. Only just got internet access though, and thought he was one of the unclaimed models I'm happy to make up another if he wants though, and use my current Harker as a line squad HB or something...

I'm almost done with the next 2 roll callers! In the mean time though I thought I'd show you guys this - turns out one of the guys at my GW is a bit of a rules lawyer and doesn't like my solid Sly, so I'm making up another Marbo. Obviously it's still very WIP, but what do you reckon about the pose? ;D The wall is going to be concrete, with a few wires to be bent supports in the broken section.

Yes, Trethewey is my personal request to you Scarper, and I can't wait to see how he turns out. However it is spelled "Trethewey" (with 3 Es), not "Tretheway". I don't mean to nitpick, as it is a common misspelling, but if you were going to put the name on the base, I'd rather you spelled it properly ;D Aside from that, great work on the conversions good sir, and I hope that Westrider and myself don't fight as much as some of your other HW teams seem to

Ugh, don't get me started. The store guys don't mind, considering the only non-scratch built part of him is some GW legs. The guy I was playing had no problem with me using proxy SC models (see Harker, and later my Al Rahem) and was fine with a Marbo right up until he saw me put it right next to his SM command squad with lots of demo charge death. At that point he decided that he was really more of a WYSIWYG kinda guy, so solid Sly's inventory was reduced to:
-Box
-Boots
-Awesome
None of which are particularly damaging. I pointed out that many of his meltabomb-armed squads had none on the model, but apparently that's a different story. Needless to say I won't be playing him again, but I can't be arsed with that kind of hassle again, so Solid Sly will be reserved for people I know aren't complete asshats. /rant

My finger has healed up nicely, so expect some more painted stuff tomorrow or Friday, job shifts allowing ;D


ps. I ordered my first ever batch of FW stuff, and am very excited for it getting here ;D ;D ;D

ReWolf - I bought the cadian accessories kit and the renegade weapon arms - they seemed to fit pretty well with all the dishevelled stuff ;D I now have a model for every unit in my list and I just need to get painting. I have some time off work tomorrow afternoon...

I realise they're kind of a mess of mould lines - I have no idea how that happened I was trying out some new rusty effects on some of the metal. Any good?
