Hahaha, not at all! I'm flattered you'd want to use it ;D The grass is new 'burnt grass' flock from GW - originally i was going to have it sprouting through cracked tarmac on the road you're standing on, but it didn't come out too well. It's the first base I've ever used flock on though, so I reckon it's alright - I'll be adding it to the ones i've made already Cheers for the update on the stock redpisces - I can buy the rest of my biker contingent now ;D

Thanks so much, commissar vintovka! I've only been painting (and very very slowly!) for about 6 months now, so I love getting praise Feels prettý undeserved with some of the amazing stuff that goes up on this site though Hetlan is right about the requests - there's a thread in the 'general IG anything' section called 'roll call!' or something similar. If you bang some specifications in there, I'd be happy to make you something up ;D Might take a while though - med school is taking up loooooads of time now. On that note though, no ward rounds this afternoon, so hopefully I can get something new up ;D Thanks again, commissar

I love that lasgun!

Thanks guys! Hetlan(der? ), the lasgun is dead easy to do - all it took was cutting the muzzle flare suppressor thing off one of the regular cadian ones; gives it a shortened look. I'm trying to give everyone a variety of guns, so I've messing round turning things into carbines and stuff ;D Check out the rifle on Mandarin for my favourite - the catachan rifle with the supressor removed can look like an awesome assault rifle ;D Working on some rough riders right now, but they could be a while to get done. Thanks for staying tuned

Still very WIP, but what dyou reckon? This is a test model before I paint up some of the remnants bikers. Sorry bout the pics, there is just no daylight here in friggin Scotland anymore (it's just gone 1 o clock!) I'll paint up the base once I get my bike bases in from GW. What dyou reckon? And he's currently unnamed too, so suggest away ;D

Very cool. I like the improvised lance/dynamite thingy, although the grey bands seem to cover up a lot of the explosives.

Wow... his arms are bigger than his legs...

@ commissarbob - Damn, you're right. I hadn't actually noticed that. I wish I could say it's just the catachan arms, but i had to do some GS extension to get him to reach the handlebars. Do you think it takes too much away from the model? There's not really much I can do about it now I'll see if I can have the body more leaning forward and shorter arms on the next one. I guess that's what test models are for! @happyorange - Thanks! There's quite a big difference between the colours of the explosives and the bands in real life (I was thinking somehting bodged like duct tape ;D), so hopefully it's just the light. I didn't think my guys would be the type to have specially moulded explosive spear heads

Meh, call it 'dynocrete' or 'lazormite' or something - whatever the 40k equivalent is Standard disclaimer: Your guy is on the way - I'm a little erratic with the painting, it tends to be whatever I have the parts for / feel like painting You've probs just bumped yourself up the list a bit by reminding me though! Thanks for the compliment ;D

Leaning them forward on the bikes would solve your arm problems well as well as giving them a more realistic riding pose, considering the dirt bike. It is a little distracting, but overall it is not a bad model. You just have to keep in mind that even though GW lists is as 28mm scale is is a 'heroic' scale with overly accentuated features.

Alright, I'll do that. Thanks a lot for the advice CB, really appreciate it when people are constructive with criticism Thanks Itch! It was originally a sun-type design I tried to copy off an online tribal tattoo reference image, but it looks like my freehand could use some work Plus it has like, 9 points, so he should be safe from commissars (not that I take any! They were killed off when the army was abandoned in my fluff ). I'll get your request up on the page, though it may take me a while to get to it now...

The beefy arms aren't too much of a problem -- when you heft a thing of dynamite on a stick like that, you're getting a lot of exercise. Jousters have decently beefy arms... and your guy might need to carry his bike too, it's not out of the question with a dirt bike. What self-respecting warrior is gonna walk his bike home when he can just sling it on his back?

I just got back here after having to take a break for a while (Too much work, not enough time for Message Boards ) Nice work on me! The face that you had to work from doesn't look quite right, but the paint job and extra Modeling made it totally recognizable. Thanks a bunch, man!

Cheers Westrider, glad to see you havent gone AWOL! I'm glad you like it - sorry bout the face. I was a little bit short of parts when I was knocking him together, and it was the only head I could find with a bandana CAPTION CONTEST TIMEAnother guy painted up, and in my mind he's saying something to the sarge. Best response gets bumped up to next on my list ;D (The freehand is actually a skull in a helmet smoking a cigar. I swear in real life it looks good - frigging lighting ) I'm trying a new technique for basing (cheers for the tip with the bird sand, HO!), what do you guys think? And do the brown boots look good? Im thinking bout playing round with colours a little bit. Would love to hear feedback!

The boots do look good. That was a lot of 'o's...
I'd offer a comment, but you already did mine.
