Another jewel here! Actually, if they plan to make a huge codex containing all aspects of the Inquisition, then this would make the perfect counter/complement for it. If I recall well, codex: Witch Hunters already proposed some villain types to oppose the hunters. Also, most Inquisitor work doesn't directly involve what's classified as a battlefield military engagement, like cult purging, Xenos infestation purging and so on(they do a lot of purging, these people...). A Codex : Heretics and Traitors would be great for describing such aspects of Chaos. Also, it would provide different organization styles for Traitor Guard, along with their vehicles and tactics and perhaps a mutant list for those heavily infested worlds... Damn! Two great ideas and I can't choose which I want more... Homes for the fluff pariahs either way! Makarova (M.I.A). (Salutes the Lieutenant) Congratulations on your promotion and creative thinking Ma'am!

Thank you! =) A second idea is to bring in Codex: Cults of Chaos. A book that combines mad cultists, traitor Guard, lesser daemons, mutans and a minor detachment of Chaos Marines. My brother already wrote a great Cult book. If you look at how Chaos really operate, there's a lot of cult work going on, and especially I think it's awful that we only have Chaos Marines and Daemons to represent Chaos on the board, I mean how common are entire armies of those? its called imperial armour volume... 4 or 5. i cant remember and im too lazy to check. aha. they have an army list for a Cult of Chaos.

the onley thing is that they are slow so it is posabel to wack them before they respond the key to beating them is to get into close combat with them and use your atack to shove a windows vista boot disk into there mouth they will just stop working for a wile and they can just be used as cover Amen brother. Now if only the Imperium wasn't so notorious for its ability to loose things. Then again, considering the mainly loose the useful things vista Might still be around. Just don't let the administratum/ munitorium know of its usefulness against the Necrons.

Adeptus Mechanicus are by far the most promising looking force for a new 40k army, they just have so much potential to be a real army with strong fluff. If you think about it a traitors/mutants list would be a horde which would be too similar to poor quality IG to be really individual in their own right.
This is, of course, not taking in to account the fact that ADmech would be the most sensible business move because they're like the most popular in almost every poll I've seen.

They have the standard 4th edition IG list with only a few minor changes, like "Ogryn Berserkers" rather than standard Ogryns, the ability to mix weapons in units freely and random leadership for all but a few units. It's lame if you ask me, exactly the kind of list that could easily have been represented by the standard codex.

I rather liked the Ogryn Bezerkers. Very dangerous suicide-charge unit. Other than that, however (and conscripts with laspistols and ccws!) and rogue psykers, it was very much a copy of the IG codex with some chaos-y elements.

If they made an Adeptus Mechanicus army there troops would have 4+ armour and a 6+ invenerable save. and there Hq would be a tech lord or something like that with 2+ armour and 5+ invenerable.
