the bell's one has some different races but lets be fair it will be a horde army that they can make much dinero from, perhaps a return of the genestealer hybrids they used to rock!

I think some skittari from the adeptus would be cool... Kinda like inbetween the IG and Smurfs because they have bionics and emplated weapons and stuff. That would be intresting

Wait, you voted for Adeptus, Knight? HOW COULD YOU!? [/sarcasm]
I went for Traitors since there would be so much you could do with them...

Traitors/Mutants/Cultists, without question. Their absence is by far the most glaring hole in the game considering their nearly ever present status in the fluff.

I voted Traitors, Muties & Friends. Although the Adeptus Mechanicus would make for a pretty cool list. =)

OGRYN ARMY! Back in 2nd Edition they had 3 or 4 ranks/stats of Ogryns, Mind you Id probably be the only person to play them though..... It would definitely win the award of smallest Warhammer army, but it might actually persuade GW to release plastic Ogryn. In other news, I found my missing Ogryn! Woo!

Forge word actually released a traitor army it's under chaos it's like the imperial guard and it has it own version of commissars and there really cool. There not called traitor and mutant there titled as renegades. Here is a link to them.http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog/CHAOS_RENEGADES.html And if i remeber correctly there info is in the siege of vraks and might be in one of the inqustion codexs.

Their "own versions" of the Commissars are completly ordinary Commissars in every manner, except that they're called Enforcers. The whole book is just a silly copy of the 4th edition book, with name changes and a few differences like having Ogryn Berserkers rather than Ogryns, random leadership on most units and mixed weapons in units. Oh, and Veterans with Ld9. Hurray. Frankly the 5th edition IG book can represent a Chaos Guard army (even with some muties) better than the Vraks list can.

if I remember it said that the race would be non human...
also for the admech. Skitarii is a generic term for the military (not including Titans, which are under the command of the Ordo Titanicus (iirc)
the different types are: Hypaspists: Generic Troops Sagitarii: Dedicated Heavy Weapons Units (squad heavy weapons are still Hypaspists) Balisteria: Artilery Cataphractii: Tanks Praetorians: Elite types, either just more augmentations than the rest or bionically/cybernetically/chemically/genetically enhanced peoples Tribune: Officer
This lesson was brought to you by the letter '01000001' and the number '1'.

Could possible the mysterious language of the Mechanicus be ancient Greek...?

I went for traitors. Just think of all the options to be packed in there... and I believe alot of Chaos oriented individuals are going to be happy to have more options than "chaos marine or Cultist"...
Adeptus Mechanicus would be a great list as well, but as Requiem stated earlier, I agree that the fluff gap with the traitors is more significant.

Could possible the mysterious language of the Mechanicus be ancient Greek...? Given that the above are all late-period Roman or Latinised terms...no. I may have passed over 'Master of History' to Sir Andrew, but I can still hack it.

Well at least it makes more sense if it's Latin or Roman I guess. Thanks for enlightening me, Second Master of History.

Mechanicus Willem MECHANICUS....
ahem.
also, did no one read the rumor when it said that it would be NON-Humanoid. when it said it would be NON-Humanoid would be NON-Humanoid NON-Humanoid NON NON NON
as in 'Not'
sorry about that but all those people who are voting traitors or admech, when this is about the new race rumor posted in the thread... which, if you didn't get yet, said the new race would be NON-Humanoid.
Thank you for your time -][-

Followers of Chaos can be non-humanoid. Especially if they follow Tzeench.

And also, it said non-human, not non-humanoid.
The Mechanicus considers itself to no longer be human, but something greater than human, so they do fit the idea as well.

It'd be kind of boring in a way if they made another Imperial race though. Glorious Emperor-Botherer as I may be (I nearly believed that myself) the other races really pales in comparison to the miniature range, codexes and fluff that surrounds the Imperium. I know it's huge, and I do think it's the most awesome thing since the gasmask was invented, but still.. Make the other races not feel like having hastily made codexes only made to provide the SMurfs with something to shoot.
