Bah... They didn't need a new dex. Just an update for biovores for AT.

Honestly, Nids really don't need an update right now. They got a huge boost with fifth ed. and are probably one of the most balanced and versatile lists available right now.

I see Willem's wishes have been ignored, and have jumped from the old thread to this one. NICE THINGS!!! You DID NOT just Embargo Nice Things on my watch! *Executes Markoftruth for not asking permission to embargo nice things and executes him again for even thinkking about embargoing nice things then executes him a third time for being executed* Anywhooo I think they will problably remain the same....

Hetlan, first of all, how did you find me? Second, how did you get me in your crosshairs like that? And finally, even with such a perfect shot you failed to take into account my "Super-Nifty Three-Ply Teflon-Coated Flak Helmet, now with Cold Weather Ear Guards." So HA! No executions for me Far be it from me to embargo nice things, just commenting on the irony of a flame war starting in a thread that has Flame War Free in the title. I likes me my nice things too you know. And you know, Nids are Nids, no matter how many times they're changed, they're still vile buggy things that my guardsmen have to kill.

In response to all of your questions: you don't want to know, he's from the Department of Nice Things and again, he's from the Department of Nice Things.
Does that answer your questions?

He's not from the DoNT, he is the DoNT. He's the PANTs. That is all.

Only the Brits will get this.
And then, only maybe.

Maybe this rumour about a Tyranid Codex in January is a hoax.
Codex : Space Marines Dressed Up As Tyranids
just for when you need to sneak up to a Lictor with a Smurf army

Well, a new Tyranid codex is pretty much confirmed. Precisely what they're going to do with it beyond me - given the fact that Games Workshop has already produced two extremely good Hive Tyrant kits (including one with giant bat wings), genestealers are faaar too classy to change, Lictors much the same, and, in essence, all that's really needed is a rules update, plastic gargoyles and a little more cheese.

And what exactly is a build-a-gaunt workshop? Will it be opening in malls everywhere? Will it allow you to customize your slimy chitinous pal? Even worse, will it threaten build-a-bear-workshop?!?!?

I don't like the new cover. Too much red (that isn't blood). I agree. It really looks kinda silly overall. Nothing threatening on this cover like the current one has.

One with more gaunts for less money muhuaha! I'd have units of 32 gaunts marauding up and down the field in no time! Wait, what am I saying, this is GW here, the new box will be 10 gaunts for 18£, 5 hormies and 5 termies. GW: 'What do you mean 5 doesn't divide by 8?'
Also I like the old codex cover better the new ones nice and all but it kinda looks more like a 3rd edition cover. Maybe it will look better in reality...

Ah well, the current 'Fex is freaking awesome anyway; it's one of my favourite models.
To be honest though I am surprised that 'nids are next. I guess it's one of the top selling 40K armies?
Either way I'll be looking forwards to any new units/miniatures released...

I've just thought; does the new dex mean the introduction of a new Hive Fleet/Colour Scheme?
The 'nids on the 'dex cover have the old Leviathan colours...
