Hetlan, first of all, how did you find me? Second, how did you get me in your crosshairs like that? And finally, even with such a perfect shot you failed to take into account my "Super-Nifty Three-Ply Teflon-Coated Flak Helmet, now with Cold Weather Ear Guards." So HA! No executions for me Far be it from me to embargo nice things, just commenting on the irony of a flame war starting in a thread that has Flame War Free in the title. I likes me my nice things too you know. And you know, Nids are Nids, no matter how many times they're changed, they're still vile buggy things that my guardsmen have to kill. And you forget that I'm firing a baneblade rifle at you.

As for the new nids, couldn't they think of more creative names than the ones I've already heard? Toxathrope? Pyrovore? Unless this is all just pure rumor, then these are new tyranid names. Couldn't they give them more latin names like carnifex and lictor?

A lictor is a type of Roman bodyguard and "carnifex" is a latin word for "executioner." The malefactor from epic was named after the latin word for "villain." I was thinking of names more along the lines of those, names like: interfector. They sound good, they sound original, rather than variations of existing names that, to me, just sound silly.

At least it's not as silly as this! Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam.

Well there's some latin words that aren't silly.

No matter how exciting your Guard army is, if it was made to fight itself it wouldn't be nearly as cool as your guard battling off a swarm of voracious unreasoning aliens...
Also I'm hearing rumours that there may be some xenos terrain sets being released, so maybe some will coincide with the Tyranid codex?

I don't want no stinkin' spore spire thingies...
I'd like to see some un-destroyed buildings...

Some hive terrain wouldn't be amiss, either. Who knows, it might rekindle interest in Necromunda...

Yeah, we used to play Necromunda at my old high school club. Although we modified it so that we could play with our regular models, so I had like a Genesetealer cult or something, and Space Marines would have an initiation team...

Yeah but if my guard were to fight themselves it would include jello and mud and probably a film crew from Virgin or something like that.

You obviously have not heard of ssgtdude's army, have you? It caused quite an embarrassment for a young player here in these boards a few months back.

Stripper poles! In chimeras.
It counts as extra armor, as the occupants probably didn't notice the loud bang on the outside of the armor...

That would make for numerous conversion opportunities.
For those who would actually consider doing it, I would suggest using Hasslefree's Gymnast and Poledancer models.
::EDIT:: My next post puts me at WARLORD, FYI.

I await pictures of SsgtDude's chimera.
